Defensive ineptitude with appalling clean sheet record and conceding at vital times, means Coyle has to go. From someone who has stuck with Coyle till now, it gives me no pleasure to admit this. In fact when I consider the realistic options, ie Billy Davies type characters, they are not much better than Coyle, with similar or worse pedigree. They also won't take any blame for a poor season, "This club were on a downward spiral and 18th in the championship when I took over". I am shitting myself thinking of an 80's merry go round of average/shit managers. And believe it or not I am usually a pretty up-beat character! Sitting next to 6 lovely young wags at the top made the game better.Atmosphere was excellent for 90% of game. Things turned nasty when we conceded. Majority of crowd were anti Coyle. Mears taking free kicks, where Eagles could get a shot in, defies belief. Defensively naive even though we have £10m central defence. No clean sheet from all games.
