Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted August 22, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted August 22, 2013 There's two that instantly come to mind for me. One was Paulo Di Canio for Sheff Weds when they were 5 0 up at half time in our first season in the premiership. It was at Hillsborough but we must have had 4 or 5000 there. It was like watching a year 11 pupil playing with a load of year 7s at playtime. The other was Akinbye Akinfenwe (prob got name wrong) about 5yrs ago when Northampton came to the Reebok in the early league cup rounds and single handedly dismantled us. I'd put money on those players remembering those performances that day, both akin to the famous Okocha performance at White Hart Lane. Fuck me, think that's the longest post i've ever done. Youri McAnespie
Ruud Gullit. Performances? Collymore and Fowler at Anfield tore us a new arsehole. Ginola seemed to do pretty much what he wanted at Burnden that first season too. In fact, we gave the stage to fucking loads of players that season... Edit: LW already mentioned it (Anfield first season in't Prem) Edited August 22, 2013 by Youri McAnespie

clown
First season in prem shearer destroyed is with a hat trick. Definitely this. He won every ball in the air - even taking them down on his chest rather thAn heading them. Was it a perfect hat trick? Can't remember, but it was robotic in just how clinical it was.
