bolton va va Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Sheff Utd top of the Championship 24 points better off than us, how the fuck did that happen? Sheff Utd finished 14 points ahead of us last season. Sheff Utd strengthened in the summer while we started the season weaker without Spearing & Vela Sheff Utd didn't have a transfer embargo - we did Sheff Utd didn't have a wages cap - we did Maybe that's how it's happened. Casino Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 I think we had a 9 point start on them as well Might be wrong Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 I think we had a 9 point start on them as well Might be wrong Yes they lost first 4 games in league one Quote

Whites man Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 I think we had a 9 point start on them as well Might be wrong Only if you arbitrarily take a starting point to maximise the points differential. Quote
tomski Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I think we could beat Everton at the moment Quote
radcliffe white Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Enjoying watching that horrible club slide down the table Quote

DomRepWanderer Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Would love to see Everton relegated ( 20 seasons later ) but can see them getting a Hiddink type in to save them Quote
Sweep Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Allardyce in to save Everton? I don't think it would be a massive surprise if he rocks up there in the next few days/weeks. I think that Everton is as "big" a club as he's ever going to get offered these days Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 (edited) Read a snippet last night that evertons major shareholder or some such, was interested in getting Sanchez from arsenal. Might be missing something, but sounds like a poisoned chalice for a manager going there with some Oriental know it all with an oversized wallet, dictating things. I don’t think Allardyce would be complaining to much if he turned up there and the owner went and bought him Sanchez. Quote
jturner Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I don't think either Sanchez or Allardyce would accept job offers from Everton. Quote

Eddie Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Allardyce might, but Sanchez?! Just to clarify my point - I don’t think Everton have any chance whatsoever of getting Sanchez... it was a hypothetical point that if he did rock up then I don’t think Allardyce (or any other manager) would be off to complain to the owner. Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Excellent Dillusional foreign owners normally end in disaster So far so good Yep. Eddie, I'm sure allardyce would quite like it; but not the potential interference. To be honest, seeing unsworth on the box, he seems uninspiring and may be quite good at continuing the good work.... Sweep Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I don't think either Sanchez or Allardyce would accept job offers from Everton. Sanchez clearly wouldn't. I do think Allardyce would though, as they would pay him an absolute fortune and give him a reasonable transfer kitty as well Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Well just watched the 6 fingers in the first half. Was quite looking forward to the game as both have done quite well so far and should see the game as winnable. Its dreadful, dull, insipid football. Bobbins Quote
