Walcott's out of th'World Cup. Arsenal surely must go looking for a striker in January now

They wanted a plug in squad player

Ngog at £6m?

I like Holloway. The game needs more colourful characters instead of the suited automatons it seems to be infested with these days.

Used to be ace when Cloughie and other outspoken types were about. They aren't popular with the establishment and have been slowly weeded out apart from the odd oasis of outspoken amusement like this fellow.

I'll tell you what it is. It's fucking social engineering, that's what it is.

Brett Ormerod tells of a funny story involving Holloway.

They were staying a t a hotel two nights before a game and despite a ban on such activities, Brett and another player ordered 2 pints and 2 pizzas on room service at silly o'clock.

Thinking they had got away with it they tried it again the night before game, not realising Holloway had found out about the night before and was on red alert via reception for them trying it on again.

Holloway turned up to the room wearing full on waiter outfit with a silver tray with the said pizzas and pints of lager.

He plonked em down on the table and said "enjoy".

He then dropped em the following day.

From the BBC update thing cass...

Marcos Alonso has looked to be a real threat with his crossing ability but he is now showing that he is not the best defensively, as Rafael beats him for the fourth time in the last 10 minutes. His low cross is cleared, before Adnan Januzaj beats his man on the other wing and cuts the ball back towards Ryan Giggs.

1-0 Sunderland.

Right back scoring, not the left back :(

Still couldn't help cheering though.

This is great.

Oggy!

We're still live

Me and Garrp won't be surprised to see Alonso do OK for a youngster. Tomski probably in that rank too

You've never been a judge of a fcuking left back, though

no doubt , over 2 legs, the better team will prevail.

Failing that, let's hope it's Sunderland

I'll never forget leaving Doncaster FAcup game chatting to you saying we should sign JLoyd and he turned up 6 months later:-)

I didn't dislike Ricardo, far from it, I just never forgot 6-2.

Still sad Swansea was Gardner's last appearance getting fucked over by SKD's "mate"

Aye, he's a good player shown from his early games with Petrov to him being a driving force in our surge up the league last year.

He'll have a decent career whether be at Fiorentina or elsewhere.

I have probably just cursed him.
