Outstanding every time I've seen them play. Brighton have got a really, really good side... I hope they don't get picked apart in the summer by the likes of Liverpool.

They've done alright in that respect

Losing decent players recently such as Curcuella, Bissuma, Trossard, White and Burn

Plus Potter

And their technical director to Newcastle

They just seem to have a structure in place where they replace and carry on as they were

Totally agree - they've got some real class including 2 WC winners - and with 2 games in hand it's definitely on the cards that they could pip Spuds, Liverpool and Villa to the Europa slot. Even CL is not impossible.

Not really.

Folk objecting to "nasty" nations being involved.

There will be very few left if you treat all with the same level of scrutiny.

Including ourselves- do we stop British ownership too?

Great point. Bastard British slavery overlords. Ban football now.

Wouldn’t it be just beautiful to see them balls up all three. Could all begin come Wednesday. Unlikely though.

Wonder what the odds are on them winning nothing?

I want them to win all three. Lessen Rogers lots ability to boast. My enemy's enemy is my friend.

Quite kettle and pottish on your behalf too, considering you never cease to criticise goverment and anything that doesn't fit your moral compass at every opportunity, whether justified or not, irrespective of thread.

And again, as is typical, no sensible point, just pointed personal digs. Some might consider that sort of thing bullying behaviour and think folk should lose their job over it.

You'll have missed the bit earlier in the thread where I said that you and another poster made some good points then?

We've not even been talking about the government on this thread, you're the only one bringing it in. I'm talking about what's happened to football.

I've made my thoughts clear on the negative effect I think money is having on the game. It's overkill. And whilst you may disagree and tell me all about the great economic boom of East Manchester, many others also feel the same way as me. But feel free to keep rambling on about moral compasses and a government I've not even mentioned. Whatever helps 👍

😆 Think I must be the only one who's wanting them to fuck it all up then?

I just find it deeply satisfying watching clubs like City and PSG pumping ludicrous amounts of money to win the CL cocking it all up. TMJ will be along in a sec telling me that's my moral compass talking.

Plus whilst it's lovely watching United suffer, it has never been a reciprocated rivalry. They couldn't give a toss about us.

#metoo

Nothing to do with the money

It's been this way since I started to live amongst them over 20 years ago

Who gives a toss what United think about us - You can still hate a club and want them to fail in every way possible without the "favour" being returned

29-16 to spurs then in terms of European seasons

Also said on motd Newcastle haven't finished above spurs in 20 years, which pretty much settles that arguement

Haha

Fair enough

Just remembered they've both got each other in the final. Think I'll be happy for City to take that one home.

One that makes sense to me.

They are crying out for a top striker.

Quite a few big clubs will be looking in the summer, and not many aorund.

Kane, Osimhen, Vlahovic - Beyond those 3, im struggling to name top traditional number 9's.

Lukaku, Abraham, Watkins, Toney, DCL, Hoijland - Other names that could be cheaper have been mentioned.

Barca, Real, Bayern, United, Chelsea, Newcastle, PSG, Inter, Arsenal , Milan and even Lazio will all be looking for a striker in the summer.

TM is the only one whose moral compass is a bit wonky.

Fans like him are the reason these states get into the game, they swallow everything. From regeneration to why should football be different bollocks.

As long as there are the TMs of the world knocking around to defend these positions it'll keep happening sadly.

Bayern

Not really a challenge though is it

If he wants to have the best chance of winning things he should go to real Madrid

If he wants to be the pl top scorer he may have to settle for utd or even Newcastle, break shearers record but potentially end up with less titles than shearer

But you'd take the pl record over a bundesliga title

Not a chance, thats utter madness!!!

But its not just 1 Title is it, it could be 4/5/6 trophies in 3 years.

The criticism is he has not won trophies.....Bayern are a top team that win top level trophies, thats it.

Please don't say Abu to him. He'll be praying towards Mecca in due deference.

Winning the bundesliga with them isn't a challenge though

10 in a row and 16 out the last 23

Bundesliga is better quality but it's as competitive as Scotland

I wouldn't sacrifice being the PLs all time top scorer for that

If they won the CL fair enough

But there's more chance of that with Real

So if you're leaving the PL it should be for a shot at the CL

This assumes both them clubs are interested

Bayern might be but they'll be smashing their transfer record by some distance

If Real aren't, might as well stay here
