L/H White
is anyone aware of any decent campsites within an hour and thirty minutes away? preferably with something to do close by and nice village boozers :-)
no balls
Buxby Manor near Husthwaite. It's not for you if you're ballooning with the lads but it's a beautiful setting with a couple of pubs nearby if that's what you're after.

bolton va va
Langdale in the Lake District. Something to do is walking up big hills, 3 nearby pubs......but again, not really for a lads' ballooning trip. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/article-1356395574671/

beer_swiller
The Plassey a few miles south of Wrexham. www.plassey.com We had a tourer on here for three years. There's a Brewery a pub selling real ale and a golf club. . A pub half mile down the Road again serve real ale and superb meals. Just about a mile away are more pubs. Site Supporter Winchester White Posted August 9, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted August 9, 2015 Langdale is my favorite but Hawkshead is great also. If you like fishing then Wyreside Lakes is only 45 mins away and is a good site with a pub too. None are for lads groups though.

Whizz
Mates wife went with the kids yesterday. Phoned him in the pub mid afternoon, she had only forgotten the tent.
Dan.m
Green Dragon inn at Hardaw. Short walk to Hawes, and Campsite is at the back of a country pub, with Englands Largest unbroken water fall! http://www.greendragonhardraw.com/accommodation.html

Members bolty58
Don't condone this sort of thing and subscribe to the "I don't mind sleeping under the stars as long as there are 5 of them" school of thought. Having said that, Limefitt Park. A very decent boozer very close by.

gonzo
Camper vans are ace but also a little pricey. My old boss had a VW 21 Window split screen Samba. Worth a fookin fortune. He took it to run to the sun in Newquay. Engine blew just past tickle trout.
