snowball Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 So does administration now make sense as preferable to a winding up order? Genuine question that. Think it's obvious that this Deano bid is as dodgy as hell, shady characters looking to make a fast buck off what assets we have. Still more bad news to come I think, it never ends Quote
Blondi Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I've heard the Thai lot are the same ones that were linked with us last year. If that's true, it'll be Bryan Marcar and his Bec Tero company. Edited December 8, 2015 by Blondi Quote
Biggish Dave Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Whoever is going to takeover, just bloody get on with it. I'm getting sick to my back teeth with the on/off of it all. If we have to go in to admin, so be it - take the 12 pointer and move on Quote
Blondi Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I think that Bryan Marcar guy from Bek Tero hinted at bringing Thai players over the last time he was linked in taking us over, things just get better! Hmm, him or Deano? Edited December 8, 2015 by Blondi Quote

birch-chorley Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) So does administration now make sense as preferable to a winding up order? Genuine question that. Think it's obvious that this Deano bid is as dodgy as hell, shady characters looking to make a fast buck off what assets we have. Still more bad news to come I think, it never ends The club wouldn't be wound up as long as their are enough assets to cover the debts - if ED isn't calling his in the the HMRC and the other smaller creditors should get all their money back without the club being wound up They would go for a winding up order to force us into administration so the assets are sold and they get payment If we are put into administration / wound up then the HMRC is only owed a very small percentage of the overall paper debt (including ED's whic is still technically on the books) then they would only get a small percentage of asset sales The club want to obviously avoid administration and the points deduction that comes with it but an administration led asset fire sale suits none of the creditors so I'd assume it's a few weeks off yet in the worst case - I would guess all the talk is Trevor Birch telling the potential buyers "shit or get off the pot" Edited December 8, 2015 by birch-chorley Quote
Ani Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 If ED is prepared to wipe off the debt but there is no realistic bid, he could put us into admin, sell off the assists and take his share of that. He would probably get more money that way. Quote
birch-chorley Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 True - but then again he owns the club lock, stock and barrel so doesn't need to put us into admin to strip the assets Look at Blackpool for an example - the owners there have plundered the club of everything without having to go into admin Owners can do as they please Quote

Casino Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Creditors? Forgetting the players, ED is the major creditor But he's a traitor, of course #shakeshead Quote
