Donald Dead Cat On Is Head Trump

I agree with all of what you've written there Crawley. And it was eloquently put.

Politically we seem to have descended to the point where politics is less about wanting to build a future that's fair an sustainable - to a situation where a lot of people just vote to annoy people they dislike. Bolty alluded to it earlier - something along the lines of he doesn't even necessarily like or agree with Trump - he just likes seeing people he dislikes being annoyed.

To quote python 'that's no basis for a system of government' - the polarisation left unchecked might be the end of Western liberal democracy.

I know this is a forum - but just look at the way people talk to each other on here. It's insane really. And I've been guilty of it myself on here too.

There's something about the human psyche that seems to value the little dopamine release from feeling like you've won a petty squabble over and above the future direction on humanity.

Anyway - that's my take on it you set of utter cunts! :)

Fuck me gently. I feel like I've been psychoanalysed by Thomson and Thompson!

TBF, there is a lot of truth in that - the annoyance of certain people can be quite pleasing - especially when they become almost hysterical like the odd one on here. There are however, things I do like about The Don. Respite from political correctness for a start. The break from the the traditional trough guzzling 'career' politicians too. Despised the Clinton's but, fairly benign and useless as they were, liked the Obama's. At least they had some personality and Michelle seems very bright.

He also gives the gutter press a hard time. Many of them struggle to report the truth and deserve to be shit canned as far as I am concerned.

Don't see the bloke as some sort of phenomenon. More a part of the logical reaction to years of nonsensical bullshit foisted upon us by well meaning but utterly misguided imbeciles - the kind of which resulted in those blokes being arrested for burning a cardboard tower. Gormless political correctness borne from the desire of some to be perceived as bastions of virtue and valour rather than the utter cunts they really are.

A reset button had to be pressed somewhere and the Don is a part of it.

Do you honestly think there has been a reset? I mean it terms of giving liberal democracy a jolt, absolutely but I see more entrenchment and less willingness to listen to create the fair and prosperous society we would like.

Yes, people deserve to have their views on the fears on immigration taken seriously and heard, but that it turn doesn’t mean calling facts lies when it’s not absolutely the solution you crave. You’d rightly tell a child off for behaving in such a way, and wherever you are on the political spectrum that should hold true.

what also needs to be held true is when our leaders are exposed as not representing values that as a free and equal society we should expect, such as bragging about grabbing women by the crotch. Whatever you’re political views, that should be unacceptable and not dismissed. What does that say to a 12 year old? Boys that’s acceptable and girls you’re going have to put up with this behaviour? If it was a leader of a party I supported, there would be no truck from me - lines have to be drawn somewhere for everyone.

Not really, a temporary blip, normal service will be resumed soon enough I would have thought (sadly) - and then the "elite" will go back to running things, and us mere plebs will just continue to follow, as has happened for the last 2000+ years. The rich will get richer, and the gap will continue to widen

I love this idea that a billionaire is somehow a reset and not part of the ‘elite’

Nobody really thinks that, if they do, then they're simple. If "the elite" do actually exist, then he is most certainly part of it

that article posted a few pages back is quite interesting in that it's view point is he wants to be part of the "elite",  but they won't let him in (being rich, doesn't mean you are necessarily elite, the actual elite can see he's a cunt, so turn their nose up at him)

this shun is what's spurred him on

and now he's pretending he doesn't want to be part of it anyway, and telling everyone else they are in fact the elite, so he's trying to redefine it all

who knows

but it's interesting enough a read

Such a short-sighted view of the world.

Yes, the gap is getting wider. Nobody can, and will, deny that. Is it really a bad thing that the rich are outpacing the poor in obtaining wealth, when even the poorest (if you don't include homeless, obviously) are still far better off than they ever were.

Free market capitalism obviously benefits those who can put more money in at the risk of getting more out, and as such the gap between rich and poor will obviously widen. However, free market capitalism is why human life expectancy has increased, how we got technological advancements and we all walk around with access to the entire world in our back pocket, how we travel worldwide far cheaper and quicker than we used to.

Jesus Christ. Talk about living in a bubble. You think mass smartphone ownership is down to the generosity of billionaires? What are you trying to say here? How do you explain the massive increase in homelessness in the UK over the last decade? Are they all just lazy cunts?

Nope, never said that mass smartphone ownership is down the generosity of billionaires. I feel like you should probably re-read what I put.

The massive increase in homelessness is because socialism concepts that exist in the UK are failing. And yes, I would say that a lot of them made terrible choices in the past, not just limited to (but probably including) being lazy cunts.

Honestly in my post I was more referring to the US (you know, as I assumed people would realize in a thread about THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA) but thank you for including the UK for me as an example of WHY the US should avoid implementing any socialized programs. And why they should build a border wall.

What my post was saying, is that the free market and capitalism has led to ALL recent technological breakthroughs. And those same concepts make everyone richer, rich and poor alike, just not at the same rate.

We've had a Conservative government for a decade. Which "socialist" policies have they implemented that have caused the massive rises in homelessness and poverty?

Let's not forget that free market capitalism almost imploded a few short years ago - and is well set to do so again.

I've nothing against sensible capitalism per sé providing its fairly equitable and there's a sense of social justice.

I just call myself a socialist because it's an short cut to describing the fact that I believe in a welfare state, the fairer distribution of wealth and concepts like a free education and health system. If rampant free market capitalism can achieve this better than any other model then happy beans. At least if it doesn't implode.

I know what you mean by fairer distribution, but there's got to be room for a discussion over a definition of fair

I think it's fair enough Branson got loads more money than me

Similarly, it's fair that I've got loads more than some workshy waster on pimlott road

There are people working 60-70 hours a week wiping old people's arses, getting paid minimum wage while their rent and bills are going up. And a large majority of those people are on zero-hour contracts, so they have no rights whatsoever if the company suddenly decide they're not needed tomorrow. Yet the Directors of the companies they work for are getting tax cuts and taking massive bonuses. What's fair about that?

Yeah absolutely - but I reckon with a decent free education system and good healthcare - backed up with social resources for the people who inevitably fall through the cracks - there will be less workshy wasters on pimlott road.

And the ones who were genuinely were just wasters wouldn't have anybody but themselves to blame.

I don't think there's any reason why a human being should be starving on planet earth in 2018. And I think that anybody working 37.5 hours a week in any job - should be able to have enough money to save to buy their own home, however modest and have enough left over for food and a bit to blow on having fun. That's as a minimum really - and we'll within our grasp if we were really serious about it.

There are people all over the world wiping other people’s arses in all types of political systems. I doubt any of them are earning much more than anyone here in the UK.

It’s one of life’s not political inequalities that  a footballer (as an example) can earn more in a week than a nurse (as an example) can earn in 4 years.

Another one missing the point.

Is that fairness to you? Or have you just accepted it, so everyone in that situation can go fuck themselves?

What do do you think everyone should be on the same wage? Guess what some people graft their nuts off in life and aim for a career that either

1) They do because they will enjoy it.

2) it pays well.

3) both

Its not about what’s fair it’s about aiming for something that will reward you.

No wonder the country is fucked, every cunt wanting everything for nowt!

Usual nonsensical rantings from this thick cunt. None of which has any relevance to anything I said.

This. 100% this.

And the USA is starting to follow in those well-worn (and proven to be terrible) footsteps.

That's why Trump won the presidency in the first place - people noticing this pattern, or the direction the country was heading, and making a stand.
