The death rate per million from Covid 19 in the UK is over twice as high as it is in America.I think some people are making the mistake of  judging the two countries responses to Coronovirus on how composed the leaders are in the daily press conferences.I also think the UK government is managing their press more carefully than the US. for example they will let Laura Keunssberg  ask her polite questions but they won't let Emily Maitlis from Newsnight get stuck into them live on TV.

The daily press conferences should just be a sideshow to the more serious matters of national policies geared to saving lives but i think the likes of Spider are throwing out 7/10s for the UK and mocking America based mostly on the press conferences.If people look at the death rate it is much worse in the UK than America

I’m not mocking America, I’m mocking Trump.

Cuomo has just demonstrated how good Americans can be. I’m fact he’s just handed Trumps arse to him on a plate.

Trump treats the daily press conferences as a voting rally. It’s always about him. Any journalist who challenges him is told they are shit at their job.

I’m judging our government on what I see 16 hours a day. Boris, who isn’t perfect, has done ok and has surrounded himself with calm, measured people.

As for America, give it time.

There isn’t anything he can do when it’s a nationwide emergency, let alone a pandemic. 
I suppose he could attack state governors but ultimately it’s out of his hands.

I've not a clue of the situation here, and how well the WHO preformed, but it must be difficult dealing with the Chinese at the best of times, let alone when an epidemic is starting.
