Mounts Kipper
Pratley will be a timely boost over Xmas and new year I agree he is exactly what we need more of a physical presence in midfield as we are little lightweight away from home we could have done with him yesterday. Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 18, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted December 18, 2016 A minor blip in the road. Top day out though. A good trek back to the station afterwards, worked up a real thirst
bolton va va
I wouldn't mind seeing Derik replacing Thorpe but Pratley shouldn't be getting anywhere near. What's been achieved so far this season has largely been down to the players being disciplined enough to keep the shape of the team (especially defensively) & know where their team mates are.......having one man charging around the pitch aimlessly would weaken the team. The captaincy would also have to be sorted out...it would be a travesty if it was taken off Spearing.

Or perhaps PP wouldn't have Pratley charging all over the place covering for other deficiencies as we seem a lot more organised these days? Either way I rate Pratley and think he could be a real asset (if and when called on) at this level definitely.
onlyoneawalker
Pratley starts again like the rest of them spearing wheater Madine etc. His bolton career thus far has been defined by utter dogshit mainly. Imo he couldn't do thorpes job lets not underrated him Edited December 18, 2016 by onlyoneawalker

One man's charging around aimlessly is another man's charging around covering others' deficencies, & Pratley is a player who seems to have greatly improved by not playing. For me he'd be a long way down the pecking order, but I do agree that PP has shown he can get better performances out of players & on the wages we're paying him we probably have to give him a chance.......if only to put him in the shop window !! birch-chorley
I think Pratley can certainly do a job at this level I remember the period when Lennon was doing the business for us and Darren Pratley was a monster then, chipping in with more than his fair share of goals as well I trust PP will get a tune out of him as he has the rest I'd like to see what a fit Clayton can do as well, emphasis on the 'fit'

Site Supporter Spider Posted December 18, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted December 18, 2016 Are we not allowed to lose anymore? No. We should not concede away from home either.
Site Supporter Spider Posted December 18, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted December 18, 2016 With the massive financial advantage we have over Chesterfield and Northampton these things shouldn't just happen though. Have you been sniffing glue? There are people sat in empty Cornflakes boxes outside Bolton train station who have a financial advantage over us. Moan by all means, but make it vaguely reasonable like Bowton. That post is borderline psychotic
gonzo
No. We should not concede away from home either. Careful mate, Johnny Concrete will do you a 5 page assay.
Big City Girl
Not the best of away days. Long journey down and we were all separated on the train, every pub we went to was quiet (apart from Casino flicking peas at us), atmosphere first half was ace, second, not so. Shit journey back too, some of our fans are utter dicks. Still had a belter though!

Take Hunt Off
Not sure Pratley will enhance what we have now tbh but then again a better sub option than Taylor so he will be welcomed back.
