Looking forward to the Export opinion on that 22 year old Slovenian, playing in the 2nd division of the Danish league, who the fan has "had an eye on for a while"

Plays at a higher standard than Kenny then. 😁

There may well be other fans that feel he is.

They just done engage in such commentary.

Either way, they gave him a new contract this season - I have no beef with him preferring to take it and stay- which must mean the think something of him.

He also has 6 in 22 iirc.

Not that bad really.

played 8 games this season

Dunno where I got those details from.

Anyway, Iles has listed his record:

4 goals and three assists in 19 games in the Scottish Premier League- overall record.

Not that bad really.

I'll reserve judgement for now.

McAtee for me in the absence of anyone better.  Clearly wasn't in SS plans earlier in the season (variously by Forss, Randall, Dempsey, Burstow), but its been shown he's better than most of the alternatives (maybe not Dempsey) which has been clear for at least 3 months but only now is he getting to start games.  And I know all about his faults (heading/arm waving etc), but we've so far failed to sign an upgrade.

Hopefully Rodriguez is good/fit, none of us know though.

On Dalby, we can't just count his starts, he played 45 minutes at Posh and scored, scoring as a sub is legitimate.  He's yet to score a 1st half goal, I'm not knocking him he brings other qualities to the game but the discussion is about scoring goals and he's not getting 20 for us however many he starts.

To bring it back to League 1 and the last time we were here with Parkinson, playing with wingers, Gary Madine scored 9 times, Dalby has started 10 times and scored 5.

This idea that you need a Dion Charles type scoring 20 a season is wrong.

ps like i said a few years back was Dion an amazing striker, as was the view at the time, or was it due to us pushing goals onto him with the tactics. A positon i was heckled for posting on here btw.

This

we've umpteen "winger" types and a chap who can head the ball (or shin it) into the onion bags.

Our squad IS better. and we've got Reuben to play yet.

Fuck Huddersfield. That Wrexham chap will probably crumple after three games with a poppadom knee

The initial Dion earned goals for himself through chasing down and harrying defenders and forcing mistakes.

Very much to his credit those early goals and performances.

All strikers nevertheless need a degree of service.

Yeah Dion was an absolute pest for defenders, seemed to lose that ability towards the end of his time here.

Are we signing Kenng permanently?

Loan by sounds of it. Only signed a new contract in summer with Celtic.

Funny isn’t it, the implosion in the summer because the board wouldn’t spend the money to get Kenny.

5 months later the same people are at it again because we’re now close to doing so

🤣

I mean he's played over 20 odd games for a club the size of Celtic this season already and scored goals as well at that level (although Scottish football is crap)

Got a great goalscoring return at other stints elsewhere and also already called up to the international set up.

Think he'd be great for League 1.

The board were hardly at fault -as soon as we showed interest Celtic doubled the asking price and handed him a four year contract.

Anyhoo Celtic have signed Adamu on loan from Freiburg.

Unless something swift happens here I think we are a defender light. We are leaving ourselves open to damage caused by suspensions/injuries. I guess they may have someone lined up as a free agent or they have seen enough of Lewis Temple and trust him. If not I think it is an oversight.

Love the social media on transfers and deadline day it’s brilliant entertainment.

football and being a fan is absolutely mental these days. everyone wants to be ITK and break something first and the melt downs when it doesn’t happen.

But we have the best defence in the league?

I must admit after Taylor's last display and apparent injury, I am surprised there hasn't been more focus on a left sided defender. In the Christie mould.
