Mounts Kipper
I’d take Garner just to annoy the pies, even though he’s wrong type of forward for us.
Dr. Feelgood
The problem with any Wigginer coming to us would be wages. Our average wage under the 4th Division salary cap is £50k pa. ... including bonus'. Wigan have been paying serious money for a long time. If you offered me £50k to be in the UK or £500k to be in China, India, the US you'd not see me for dust
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 31, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted December 31, 2020 No way is Garner coming to Bolton. I know how much was on offer from India, assuming Cyrprus isn’t too far away from being on a par, it’s out of our reach

Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 31, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted December 31, 2020 Assuming it is Lee & John, it gives me greater belief Evatt does know where we are short. He sees it. I keep saying it, give him time, he’ll get it right
masi 51
would not have to be anything special to be a improvement on Gordon, Mascoll or Brockbank 20 odd premier games for Cardiff, 30 odd for Rangers in Scotland and 4 full Welsh caps tells me he should be above lge2 Again signing Lee who like Tutte will not play every game, but should at least have one of them on the pitch will again make us stronger. Decent keeper and a lump up front can get us up there challenging Edited December 31, 2020 by masi

Also did ok played in a totally wrong position as a left wingback. I'd rather have him than than Baptiste.

Take Hunt Off
Not sure what Brockbank's true position is .He is a bit lightweight at CB & a bit ponderous at RB , however he can pass & is reasonable in the tackle. As he ever been tried as a holding midfielder? Can't be worse than White or Comley .Can't see him making the grade as a defender hope I'm totally wrong .(I did write Peter Ried off)

He’s calm on the ball, might work out.

A bit of pragmatism until he could get reinforcements wouldn't have harmed his cause.

Don't get me wrong, I like Evatt & I want him to be successful here for all our sakes, what I don't want is a Wenger like character who cant/won't admit that sometimes you need to adapt your style. I believe bottom 2 divisions, players are largely guided by repetitive coaching and organisation. Hopefully Evatt sees his way to a better balanced squad which can adapt

For me, not having a lwb or lb is our biggest problem. The right side is sorted one way or another but we can't defend down the left at all. I quite like Delaney but even hes losing form at the left side of centre half. That area needs addressing though Delaney will improve again
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted December 31, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted December 31, 2020 I'd like to see us try with 2 holding midfielders & Sarcevic playing off Doyle. Means sacrificing the Fonz but apart from the odd 20 mins occasionally he does do enough for me. Not sure if he's carrying an injury but he just doesn't seem at it.
