Jones does his best but charges up the wing and then has to stop, check and cut back to his right which then alters the angle of the cross, making it easier to defend. Quite right but it don’t think the LWB was the biggest problem yesterday, obviously the best teams have a regular back 3/4/5 and I think we had that more or less when we had the 5 game winning streak. The biggest problem was the gaps in the middle of the park they had two players happy to sit and wait knowing that they would get the ball and could run at our defence, first half they did it time and time again. Rather than letting teams walk through midfield. ? 4 things we need left wing back , proper central midfield player, goalkeeper and a forward. First three are essentials. No I think Tutte is the right holding midfielder and Lee coming in might go in there, it’s the positioning when we’re in attack. If the wing backs push on the DM drops for a number of reasons, he gives the WB’s another option to pass to, the defence doesn’t have a gaping big hole in front of them, they can’t have a number 10 in the hole.
