Leave Sheehan where he is, he doesn’t need to be the hard man - yes he’s the deepest of the 3 but that is all about picking the ball up off the defence. Like you say - add the physicality and tackling that we’re missing on top of what Sheehan can do and we’re suddenly massively out of our price range.

Looks like there could be legs in the Maghoma rumour, and if not we’ll be looking for a replacement in that mould. Creative, go past defenders, main job is going forwards.

That leaves one spot for this midfield bastard to add to the balance to the midfield - GT’s spot. Either he learns to tackle, head and improves his athleticism or we cash in to a team he would suit better and we use that spot for this balance we’re after.

I am still of the belief that this year will be a write off. I’d be looking at younger players as opposed to the wise old heads and building a team for the following season.

I'd say if there is a gap to the top two tbh, the pressure is definitely on.

Unfortunately a write off season won’t put bums on seats the following year, once folk lose interest it’s hard to get them back.

he failed last time and according to FV he will be backed financially again so the target is simple so be it if old heads are used

Completely agree. I just don’t think he will deliver. Hence I’m writing the season off.

You have to wonder. Best to comment when the full picture has emerged (ie recruits). The best I can say thus far is that the two outfield players brought in have height and (hopefully) physique. I want to see how he recruits to that midfield before I let my confidence wax or wane.

Aye agree, and even more urgently for me at full back/wing back. We needed new starting lineup quality players on both sides before Williams was ruled out till Christmas, even more so now. 

Unless we're completely changing our philosophy which I doubt, we're only ever going to be as good as the players we have in those two positions.
