Chungy in the number 10 role showed how far Vela is from being able to play there at a higher level.

Surprised at wheater going up top for last 5. I thought a reply would be a chance to earn some money.

Proctor and c Taylor must be the worst players ever to play regularly (from the bench) for bwfc.

Number 10 role?

Fuck off.

I like A Taylor in the number 3 role.

Some crackin performances today throughout the team.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Thorpe tho, thought he stood out a mile as the classiest player on the pitch.

Typical Chungy performance, plenty of the ball but did f.a. With it, glad he left!

We gave Palace a bit too much respect in the first 20 - 30 mins but otherwise we played very well and should really have won. Alnwick and the back 4 were superb. Spearing bossed the midfield, Henry finally looks like the player I thought he was and Madine had his best game in a Bolton shirt.

I'm a bit torn who I'd say was our best player - probably Spearing though. I thought Cloughy had the beating of his full back every time too but didn't want to do it too often. He's a bit wasted out wide left though, if we are to get the best out of him, he needs to play up top and I'm not convinced he's that good.

Good to see Clayton get a few more minutes and get up from a clattering with no ill effects too

I was going to post but you said exactly what I was going to say sat on the front row of wsl today and the kids loved it, watching the players warm up etc. I think we can win the replay btw

Tony Kelly (I think it was him) on tower was creaming at how good a game it had been. He's also a terrible terrible commentator

Only listened to the last 10 mins but we sounded in the game rather than clinging on.

Must admit to being one who whizzes off at final whistle but made exception today to clap them off. Pride being restored in our club, cracking game and an outstanding performance all round.

Second half really good and we should have won, not doing might be costly down the line, extra game we could do without, but happy to park that for now and look back on a great effort from our lads.

Madine did really well against Prem centre backs, Spearing bossed them in midfield and back four sound. Henry will do for us second half of season if he plays like that week in week out. Mind boggling how A Taylor not though good enough to catch at a team like Wigan.

Oh, and while Henry should have scored at least one, he wasn't far behind Spearing

And not just going forward

Once he got to grips with helping Wilson, it slowed them down a lot

Superb that. Sat in the west stand north side and actually got a decent view of the second half for a change.

Spearing mom, Henry and Velas energy was outstanding. As we're the rest.

Madine won loads down in our corner and showed some bollocks. Shame he just lacks any quality when it counts. Like homo said , proctor made him look like Diego Costa. He's never professional footballer as long as I've a hole in my arse.

So many positives today. Well done bolton. Onwards and upwards.

I thought thorpe was toss and easily the weakest of the midfield

This.

I was actually thinking does he do unnoticed work or does the game just pass him by.

I think the latter.

Thorpe does get through plenty of closing down and did pass it well by and large, my only criticism would be that he's a bit lightweight in the tackle at times and isn't so quick off the mark if he gets turned and has to get back

What I like about Thorpe is he shows for the ball and often his first touch is a simple pass to keep us moving.

If the pass needs to be backwards to work space so be it but he seems aware of where he will play the ball before he receives it

Aye and normally he's fine at it

But, not today

Found the taylor substitution for henry odd. Henry must be fresh and was looking good. Seemed like parky just wanted to chuck taylor on for 5 mins no matter what.

We gave up any chance of winning that game by taking clough, madine and henry off.

By the way how the fuck does proctor earn a wage from playing football. Cant fault lad for effort, but jesus christ he makes taylor look a premier league player

I think there's a player that everyone has been overlooking this year- Andrew Taylor, he's been so consistent and one of the most solid left backs I've seen in a long time, great player.

To be fair, he's been complemented a lot on here, including this thread, having a good season.
