At school leaving time my lad rang.

Bearing in mind he's point blank refused to go this season I'd given up on him coming any more.

"Dad my mate from school is wanting to get a season ticket; can he come with us!"

 

Christ on a fuckin bike; where's that come from? I thought.

 

"We've been singing Bolton songs on the way home" he added.

 

There's hope yet!

Reading this thread it does feel a bit like Sunday is going to galvanise our support. I have to say our average attendance of around 15,800 is pretty decent for a club who struggled as badly we did. Better than PNE and better than or equal to our average in the late 90s when were always vying at the top of the second tier. Hopefully season ticket sales and next season's attendances will reflect the feelgood factor. Our support base somehow feels a bit less brittle than it did before the 11 years in the Prem.

. Didn’t realise till watching that the forest fans applauded us at the final whistle, still can’t believe it yet and it’s Wednesday, had two grandkids with us they went crazy , 60 yrs watching the whites how I climbed over the advertising hoardings I still don’t know
