Sweep Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 The pound shops sell Chipsticks. I send our Maud to get them. Aye, 6 packets for a quid They also sell T-Bone Steak Roysters and Roast Beef & Mustard Brannigans as well (generally 5 packets for a quid) I've gone all Youri, with my knowledge of low cost bargain foods Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Nice one Traf, I shall have a mooch next time I am on middlebrook Most co-ops sell them too...three decent sized bags for a quid. Quote
Zico Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Fish and Chips They call themselves biscuits but they are salt and vinegar so that'll do for me Also Random fact Seabrooks name was an accident The owner is called C Brook and someone misheard and wrote it down wrong, something like that Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 (edited) I've gone all Youri, with my knowledge of low cost bargain foods It was the cheap booze my eagle eye scouted for... My whoopsie hunting was always for meat, fruit, veg etc. I think it's scandalous how cheap shit food like crisps, 'chocolate', toffees and junk 'meals' - pizza, chips etc. is in pound shops, markets and supermarkets. It's obviously part of a wider plot by 'the man' to keep the peasantry and kids of peasantry revolting. It's hard to run from the shadows and chuck a molotov cocktail into a landing Apache gunship when you're an eighteen stone fourteen year old with type 2 diabetes and one arm is already occupied by clutching a litre bottle of energy drink and a 50p 'catering size' slab of 'chocolate'. Up the Revolution. Edit: Pimms Cider Cups - 500ml bottles of fruit ciders (hello sailor!) with a drop of Pimms are £1 in Home Bargains. Spoil the lady in your life . Eavesy Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Had some crisps called ‘slabs’ in a bar the other night. On appearance and first taste not convinced. Really thick, large and heavily fried. So large you have to break them to get them in your mouth. Better as the packet went on. Great with a beer. Quote

deane koontz Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 There seems to be a ton more salt in Seabrooks ready salted or is it just me 🤔 Or they use the same amount of salt and have less crisps Quote

Perhaps the ridges afford greater surface area which in turn captures more flavour? Quote
