I totally get the local media outlets wanting to do something on this situation - that’s very usual and understandable.

But come on, how is a forum with questions to ask, when there’s nobody that will add any value or new info, going to do anything except further stoke up ill feeling towards KA? There will be no “learns”, it’ll be like one of those in the Simpsons before the townsfolk get the pitchforks out.

How is that helpful?

i can’t see anything but a kangaroo court, especially seeing as all 3 have nailed their colours to the mast....

You may as well get Bojo, Rees-Mogg and Bolty discussing the virtues of socialism FFS

that's next week's show.

Nothing of any worth ever comes of Question Time, but it still does well enough. That's just what this is. If they can't find anybody with a good word to say about Ken who's willing to go on, maybe that tells its own story. Maybe he should be putting them in touch with the fans and 'people within the game' who keep sending him emails telling him he's doing a cracking job.

I think people are being a bit overly defensive of Anderson generally, if a club legend is a cunt just because he disagrees with you about the current owner. Alan Shearer was a shit manager and hasn't done well in business - does he have any right having a pop at Mike Ashley?

Tom, you’re missing pretty much all of the points there

Question Time has folk from all sides and persuasions

nobody is calling SJM a cunt just because he disagrees with KA

You’ve just illustrated in one single post the ignorance of the staunch “Ken is a twat” group, which is what’s winding the centrists (on this subject) of us up!

well fucking done

He has a right to an opinion, that's all. It doesn't make his opinion any more valid than mine or yours.

My issue about the forum is not that it shouldn't go ahead, but about the futility of it all.

Everybody wants Ken out, including Ken himself.

People aren't happy at the way the club is being run. A forum will not change the way a club is run, nor are you likely to hear anything new at it, nor will any viable solution be proposed.

The three men hosting the forum have nailed the colours firmly to the anti-Ken mast without offering a solution, they know no more about the workings of the club than I do and are therefore not really in a position to be holding counsel.

Jack's an old school radio presenter, John's an ex-employee and Marc's an unprofessional and poor journalist. None of them have any real business nous, so the only thing this forum will achieve is for the same grievances to be moaned about again.

This pantomime is another vehicle of negativity and the club becomes less attractive to a potential buyer by the day.

If season ticket holders really want to make a point without perpetuating the toxic atmosphere that is building, simply stay away from the games.

Sorry, it was SJM is 'becoming a cunt'. And chat about his honesty and failed businesses/coaching career. That's what I mean by defensive - nobody seems to want to say they are pro-Ken, but plenty will attack anyone who comes out and criticises him (be that Iles, GMR, Heathcote, Holdsworth, Supporters Trust, Moxey, Henry, Vince, McGinlay etc. etc.).

I agree that this won't solve anything, and will likely end up being an hour of people saying 'this can't go on' (when it definitely can and will), but it's better than complete apathy. And the option is there for anyone to go if they want to put across an opposite view, they're hardly going to get kicked all over the town centre afterwards. As for the guests, Ken isn't doing interviews and I've never heard anybody else say a positive word about him in public.

Of course not, but he scored 101 more goals for the club than you and I combined, so people have more of an interest in what he has to say. I mean, an enormous chunk of the media is people who's opinion isn't anymore valid than yours or mine, giving their opinions and none of it makes any difference to anything. That's why I don't see the issue with this in particular.

Point missed again. criticism is one thing. Constructive criticism is another. Any fucker can sit at their computer spouting about KA. None of them are spouting and offering up the alternative.

Honestly, I don't care how many goals he scored for us, I'm not interested in his opinion on how the club is being run. We all already know how it is being run, we need a solution. If John (or anyone else, for that matter) had one, then (a) that would be a different story and (b) I'm damn sure we'd have already heard about it.

If John was going to regaling us with some footballing tales about his undoubted prowess in front of goal, then I'd be very interested in hearing that.

I'd started that (missed Leeds, Stoke and Walsall) but felt guilty leaving my dad on his own so back for WBA and as.long as he keeps going. Sad state of affairs but really struggling to want to go to home games now. Never thought it would come to this

Whilst ( like everyone else on here ) I'm a massive SJM fan I don't see his part in this as being in anyway helpful to the club he loves. If Nat was still here he would be doing his best to portray BWFC in a positive light at all times, trying to rally the troops & keeping his personal opinions to himself.

Because very few if any actually are anymore. His support has dicipated over the last couple of weeks.

it typifies how ridiculous and divisive this issue has become. In a debate you either have an Pro and an Anti brigade

we simply have varying levels of Anti. The far right goons who want him out no matter what, no matter where that leaves the club and no matter whether there is an alternative. Then, a more “well yes he is a cunt and we want him gone but there is no other fucking option so we’re stuck with him” brigade.

this brigade invariably try to have a reasoned debate and look at things more logically. But are then shouted down by the Goons as “Pro Ken”

Myself and three or four others off here were in a bit of a chat on Twitter with one of the blogs named on the protest and it was all very civil and constructive, but the blog didn't want to join in, because they'd been called some names in the past FFS.

Clearly not interested in a reasoned structured debate, the pitchfork mentality lives on.

“Please tag us out of this” :D

As I said on twitter, they are choosing to represent me and our fan base by protesting on our behalf and probably disrupting a game that I’ve paid to attend.

They could at least have the decency to answer a few questions as to what is the prime objective.

Im still yet to hear a reasoned response as to what people expect to to gain from a protest or match disruption.

Oh aye, there from the beginning in the balmoral

I think Rothwell had a falling out with the club

He had Neil berry lodging with him at one point

Rothwell sorted travel

From memory, founders were Andy and Barry nightingale, brother of Clive

Barry is on Twitter and might even be one of the trust's high net worths

SR had a few things he wanted to getaway from so he moved to Scotland. One night, when I lived at my mum & dads, him and Aidey turned up out of the blue and asked if I wanted to go and watch PNE against West Ham in the league cup.

He must have had a big fall out with BWFC as he was massive fan back in the day and he has not been seen or heard of for years.

Went in a minibus organised by him to Hampden Park in late eighties watching Rangers in Skol Cup Final. Went straight after Rochdale away IIRC on the Saturday and stayed over in Edinburgh, am sure Neil Berry had something to do with getting tickets and accommodation sorted. Any road he ended up owing us money so only way to get it back was free minibus to Newport  on a Tuesday night which was another eventful away trip. Must have been our only season in the Fourth Division that, can't remember moaning about shite team in them days just some good trips. Like you say though he was a massive fan back then went everywhere
