Millwall in the mid 70s. Think we won 3-1.  Watching us win at the game then being allowed to stay up and watch it again. As a kid I thought it'd be a regular thing

Got the goals from that on dvd. Some very dodgy keeping! Will have to get it posted

Bloody hell...that’s a fantastic shout mate,  I’d forgotten about that one.

The first I can remember watching intently was our first game in Div 1 in 1978. Alan Gowling scored a screamer to put us ahead but we lost 1-2 v Bristol City

That's how I remember Gowlings goal. I don't think I've ever seen it since. Is that out there somewhere?

Yep. Was on TV and I've seen it shown since. But I've not got it. Our first win that season was 2-1 at home v Derby and I think that was screened too. Not got that either

Beating Blackburn 2-1 in the first premier league season , also remember Alan Stubbs interview after when he may as well have said  " get me the fuck out of here" .

He was lower than a snakes belly in my eyes after that.good player though.

I was in the later generation, that first Premier League game away at Wimbledon was my first time and it was so exciting despite knowing the result. And we got an official Subbuteo pack that season too, ace.

Anyone manage to catch a MOTD without knowing results these days? I try it once in a blue moon and it's refreshing!

I remember buying the Merlin? Sticker album in 95/96 , just because a few years before we seemed a million miles from being in a top flight sticker album.

Two memories:

When we did Walsall 8-1 and TC got 5 we got an honourable mention when they rounded up the lower leagues, including Bob Wilson noting his 5 and how he was a part time (or ex) electrician. "Obviously a bright spark" says a smugly grinning Bob. "Fuck off" I thought.

Then they showed goals from the Witton Albion Cup game in 1990. R5 (or maybe it was still R2 back then that did the sports?) had given it out as 1-1 and so I watched thinking that was the score and thus when our 2nd went in I'm thinking "what was wrong with that?". Then entered some parallel universe when it was given.

Completed 93/94, 94/95 & 95/96 albums in the loft. #retirementfund

I had a good find on the car boot last year , a bloke who does house clearances had a load of boxes scattered everywhere and in 2 separate boxes I found the1979+1980 panini albums both full and in good nick , bar a couple of stickers on the back of each .Got them both for 50p each.

Similarly I treasured FIFA ‘97 for the SNES because it was the first time you could play as Bolton (no idea why the years didn’t stack up back then with it being the 1995/96 sides for the 1997 edition; suppose it must have taken much longer to produce the games in those days)

My problem is, knowing scores or not, I'll watch if there's nothing better on but I won't be arsed if I miss it.

Not sure if it was MOTD or Kick Off on the Sunday. Newcastle at home in the FA Cup. 3-3 And Malcom Mac scored a worldy. It didn't happen a lot but I always got really giddy when the big rigs rolled in to Burnden Park.

In the days when it was unusual it was great, a real, treat. Then during the Prem years it was a given. Nowadays I think there's always at least a lorry load of camera gear.
