Things I miss... Not being ill. 5 years ont bounce I've had Mon flu, must be nearly anytime I have a week off work I'm ill.

My eldest is 6 and is beyond excited for the big day and my youngest is two so just getting to understand what it's all about.

My daughter flew to Vietnam today to spend Christmas and NY with her boyfriend who is working as a golf professional out there. Mrs ST wasn't best pleased that she is away for Christmas but I suppose that is the way it is these days. Just the 6 for Christmas Dinner but have 20 over for a Christmas Day night party🎉🎄🎅🎁🎊

Where in Vietnam mate? I spent there 3 years ago and 3 months in total. Wonderful country

Had Christmas dinner with the folks last weekend, off to the ex mrs on Xmas day which we both hate but do it for the kids, then back to yours on Boxing Day with the kids and then new year with the sister and nephews visiting from Bolton. Youngest nephew thinks we live in Harry Potter world for some unknown reason.

A few beers up Leigh on Christmas Eve as has been tradition with a group of us ever since we first turned 18, then Blundell Arms for us on Christmas Day. £65 a head for four courses for me, other half and t'lad but with QuidCo and NatWest Rewards cashback we've literally not paid a penny. Going with my dad and his mate and other half's parents and brother, then my dad and my brother and his wife and two kids are coming round in the evening. Only off work on Christmas Day and Boxing Day but intend to make the most of it.

Christmas Eve carols on the village green with mulled wine, mince pies etc.
Few drinks at home afterwards.

Christmas morning, nip over to see our grandson for his birthday.
M-i-L comes for lunch at 3pm-ish at ours and then about 5pm, I start working on the Boxing Day racing program.

Boxing Day =  Wanderers

Same old, same old...

See my folks tomorrow

Wake up with Mrs Rudy and Mini Rudy see if he’s been 😁

In laws in the morning, back to Casa De Rudy, do my best Gordon Ramsey impression.

Tv, food and drink. Work Boxing Day morning, work the 27th

I’ll put on a happy face for the kids and mrs, but it massively pecks fuck out of my head, as it did my dads who I’m fast turning into.

Bah humbug.

I'm with you. Stressful for no other reason than we all make it.

That said I enjoy nothing more than a good walk in cool fresh air, a good meal and a good film later. Time with the family after the big day is good.

And the days are getting longer now, which is a positive!
