Aye. Easiest time ever to be the leader of the opposition. Just keep saying how things are being done badly whilst not offering up alternatives.

Not saying Starmer's wrong with his criticisms, but if the shoe was on the other foot it'd be a piece of piece of piss for Johnson to do the same.

They don't need to offer up alternatives

Or more to the point, what's the point in offering up an alternative, it's not like they'd listen

Anyway from what I've seen starmer is saying he'd do the same anyway, just better

And they’d be doing it with bells on

Then they'd be cunts.

That isnt the situation that we are presented with though. Starmer increasingly resembling a human weather vane for me.

How on earth can he launch personal and political attacks, yet complain when his offer of a joint approach is rejected.

Its a dangerous game he's playing, as when this is eventually sorted, and it gets back to politics and electioneering, it could backfire.

The eventual inquiry should hopefully reveal much.

Time will tell.

Agree with all of that.

I was just making the point of how easy it is to be the leader of the opposition during a time like this.

Going to be an interesting Christmas on ICU if those figures are anything like accurate.

Some hospital bed managers won't be getting much sleep! 😳😳😳

What’s it like at the hospital today?

Labour can’t lose here

Sit back go along with it and watch the mess ensue whilst getting the odd dig in. Free political money

Had this conversation earlier with a mate.

If Labour do not win the next GE by a fucking massive massive landslide you've got to question what is their point.

They'll be skipping town on a snap GE anytime before corona or brexit is over and done with but surely by then they've got to be massive favourites to pick up the pieces.

Even More massive than us for league 2 champions.

(always voted blue)

Overturning the current Conservative majority in 1 election will be very difficult, it would normally take at least 2 GE’s to get that back

A lot of water to go under the bridge yet and to be fair to Starmer, he needs the time

Winning a GE without Scotland will be very difficult for Labour, they need to make gains from the SNP as well as Boris

He's got 4 years. Most of which are likely to be utter chaos.

Like I said, he needs it

An election tomorrow and he’d still lose it significantly IMO

Far too much ground to make up, perticularly in Scotland where the party has lost all its seats to the SNP

Strange hypothetical argument. It would be one hell of a scandal to require an election to be called in the next few months. Even Ed Davey would stand a chance.

Surely this claim in the Telegraph cannot be true? “The UK’s chief scientific adviser has a £600,000 shareholding in a drugs giant contracted to develop a Covid-19 vaccine for the Government, prompting claims of a potential conflict of interest....”

Scotland is as you point out is the key and that’s a goner for labour for a long time to come.

so they would need to take 80+ seats from the tories in England effectively  which ain’t happening either despite people’s perception of incompetence from boris.

I was in ODX for a while, I dipped out last week having doubled my money when it hit just shy off 90p, which I was happy with. I've still got a small holding of about 2000 shares though.

My big concern is that the product they've mainly developed is a home based test, and I'm not sure that's what the Government actually wants.

Anyway, good luck with it
