How does it work Traf? Had a strange email off my insurance company basically washing their hands of any of it. They say the holiday companies will offer a refund or alternative and it is their problem.

From an insurance side. You can only claim for a loss. If they believe that loss is someone else’s liability they will not pay out especially if the loss is unlikely to be recovered.

We have a holiday booked with TUI in June. They are saying we can change it for free but the holiday is £400 more. Only paid a deposit so far but the balance is due. If we do not pay it we are at fault. We need to pay it and then await a full refund when holiday is cancelled. Paying on Credit Card so if they go bust we are covered.

Once we're locked down, you'll have plenty of time for gardening, so could grow your own 'salad crops'.

The lad i got it off grows his own but hasn't grown any this year

He said if we go into lockdown "the lights are going on"

Called into the Vaults on my way home tonight for a pint, as I usually do on Thursday and Friday. There were about a dozen people in, all spread around. The staff are constantly cleaning the glasses and the tables after a customer leaves. I never came within 2 metres of anyone including staff.

I then caught a bus home. I use the bus by choice not necessity. (thinking about the environment) It was packed. A couple of people coughed and there were some nervous looks. Probably all the people on the bus don’t have the choice that I have.

Ill probably go to the pub again tomorrow. I won’t be catching a bus again until this is all over.

My old man just rang to tell me his doctor wouldn’t shake his hand earlier but 5 minutes later stuck fingers up his arse.

Imagine what he will do when he actually goes for an appointment with the doctor and not a quiet pint

I’m in the gym. There’s about ten in. Both 5 a side pitches have matches on. The bowling alley downstairs is open and full, the skatepark thing has kids in on bmx’s and scooters.

Safe to say folk in Thornton aren’t taking this seriously.

I actually think that part of the problem is the knowledge that it mainly only kills the oldies.

Its added a layer of invincibility to younger folks and that could make this an absolute horror show.

Hope not,

The biggest issue for me, is dead simple

The tube is still open for business in a city riddled with germs

While thats the case, why am i not ok to enjoy a quiet meal

Absolutely. Those who don't give a fuck will suddenly start doing when their mum dies on a fucking hospital corridor waiting to get into ICU. That is what will start to kill folk, a lack of hospital resources due to wankers only thinking of themselves.

Because it is not a competition to be most irresponsible. They are talking about 20k folk dying if we do the right things. That is in the UK and a good case scenario.

What is responsible? Standing amongst hundreds of commuters or sitting in a quiet pub. I’d avoid a busy pub but be happy to travel on a quiet train or bus. It’s called common sense.

My gym is a YMCA, you’d say quite a responsible organisation and charity amongst other things.

If they deem it ok to be open, all guns blaring then folk can only go with what they can see surely.

The authorites are allowing these places to be open.

People will carry on till their told to stop.

The fluffy haired one needs to be a bit more authoritative in my opinion.

Indeed. It’s like I’m in a parallel universe. I come on here and the worlds ending, twitter every fuckers in isolation. I’ve got mates losing jobs, I myself have lost a small fortune in work and we’ve only just dipped our toe in.

Yet I drove through St Annes today and it was it’s usual hustle and bustle self, people having a lark about on the green with their dogs and kids with kites etc. Few sat outside the queens having a beer in the sun.

Look one way it’s the apocalypse, look the other it’s buisines as usual.

Can you still get a good meal there or is the café not keeping the tables far enough apart?

So who’s right?

I look at Italy and wonder how that’ll end up. It’s the end of days.

Then I see folk stood outside the crown in horwich without a care in the world and it’s like I’ve seen covid-19 on the telly and cant separate fact from fiction.
