green genie
Another vote for a cafitiere and beans. Grinder useful for spices as well.

MancWanderer
Used to have the Russell Hobbs one that ground the beans. Loved it. Costco’s Colombian coffee beans were ace. Mrs M decided we had to have a Nespresso. Don’t mind it as Lidl do some decent pods but I miss freshly ground beans. Any recommendations for a decent induction hob coffee pot? Available in major supermarkets. Drawback with them is the size of the filter cup dictates the size of cup you get. Much bigger than a standard cup and you’ve had it. Also, Taylor’s of Harrogate make coffee bags. They are acceptable as far as proper coffee goes.

One of the best purchases we’ve made. It’s a Melitta summat. Brilliant thing; best appliance in our kitchen and most used by a mile; esp with WFH etc

Youri McAnespie
Gayest thread ever. Mokka pot - Lavazza Decaff. Milk done in the microwave. Bit of hot water from the kettle. Latte. I do drink caffeinated at times - end up fearing a coronary. How some of my similar aged contemporaries still hang around with Mr. Ching is a mystery.
