Nah mate, you’ve looked at the wider picture, historical context and taken a balanced view. That makes you anti-Israel and a terrorist sympathiser. Just like the MPs 🙄

Nearly 2000 dead in Israel’s response- 600 of them children. I get the anger and need to do something, but I don’t see how this fixes it. Political analyst on R4 saying today that it’s playing into Hamas hands and distancing Israel from Arab nations who they had built ties with recently, such as Saudi Arabia.

The action of Hamas caused it. End of.

All this constant criticism of Israel is at best completely missing the point, at worst supporting their enemy.

Of course it's what Hamas want, but they're the cunts hiding behind the people they pretend to represent.

Only one lot tries to protect innocents. The other lot aims for them.

Remarkable how the number of deaths in Gaza isn't that far in excess of Jewish deaths, despite thousands of munitions being used to degrade terrorist equipment. That suggests a far more nuanced approach than is being given credit for. If human shields are lost, then that's on Hamas, not Israel.

The other nations getting close was, at least in part, the reason why this happened- Iran doesn't want it.

Once Gaza has been properly cleansed, the likes of Saudi will be quietly relieved.

Then it will be interesting to see if the people of Gaza want to re-elect another terrorist group.

Yes, the fella on the radio said this was a remarkable situation in that the casualties were similar in both sides, which he said has been different to historic conflicts.

I don’t disagree with some of what you’ve said. Israel do often get blamed without Hamas’ role being scrutinised.

But the criticism of Israel isn’t constant. Our government, politicians and the media have been highly critical of Hamas also. Interesting that Israel’s allies are now asking them to rein it in.

Your point about the shields isn’t always accurate. Even though Hamas do use citizens in this way, Israel can’t always hide behind that as an excuse. There are clear cases where they have carelessly targeted women, children & journalists. Even at times when Hamas have not been firing rockets or purposefully putting those people in jeopardy.

Their actions in the West Bank have for decades forced innocent Palestinians into situations of needless poverty and misery. In areas where militants are not present.

Criticising these actions isn’t supporting Hamas!!

You’ve provided no real evidence that MPs have been sympathising with terrorists. It’s quite worrying that someone with your level of rationality thinks it’s okay to label people in that way, and can’t see the dangers in that kind of misinformation spreading.

Jews never seem to do this type of thing.

They do seem to bear the brunt of extreme violence, historically as well.

Maybe that explains part of why they’ve become the nation they are.

There are some backward Zionists movements out there as well though, advocating for some pretty grim stuff.

7 Year old Palestinian child stabbed to death in America yesterday , Police say the murderer was motivated by the Israel/Hamas conflict. Grim

If 600 kids are dead from 2000 killed that sounds like hamas using kids as a shield. Why does that not suprise me. Sooner Israel get in and take them out the better.

Yes, nothing on Israel in any of this. All blame lies with Hamas for everything and anything. Take them away and all problems go away and Palestinians can have their land back dream of prosperity 🙄

99% of this is hamas doing, not a lot Israel can do if hamas are bringing kids into hamas buildings to act as a shield. The cancer needs removing and once it’s done then the Palestinians need to choose carefully who they vote into power.

Madness

These attacks where its one or just a few people in city centres scare me so much. The amount of carnage and damage that can be caused and the time it can take to nail the perpetrators down while it continues.

Some were trying to flee the bloody place

They make kids homeless in places where they don’t vote for Hamas …

Israel’s allies are now asking them to take more care.

You’re right about the shield, but it’s not always the case. Does pose the question though, would you personally kill hundreds of kids to get to someone who had murdered your own?

Will Israel’s actions work?
