So it appears that omicron cases are rising more rapidly than Delta did.

Can see why extra measures were introduced, guess we'll see shortly if they're concerned about its effects.

Obviously different hospitals will have different figures, Dr Hilarys seem to be well out though and the usual lot (right said Fred, Denise Welch, Piers Corbyn) are all over it

Perhaps Dr H meant to mean 90% of those in icu rather than in hospital as a whole?

As for as a whole, 36% seems rather high, so maybe that's for a different place's icu.

Who knows, and to be honest who cares- jabs work, so get them.

Mrs office is has shut from today anyway, as has my old place.

I got ppinged last night, I take it I just order the PCR test, do it and carry on as normal for the time being as I'm double jabbed.

I've also got my booster tomorrow, I take it I can still go to this?

A little report on some early research suggesting the Pfizer vaccine may be 20-40 times less effective against omicron.

A very small sample size, and work still to do, but that may be a big concern and why they're looking at going further.

It looks like SAGE don't agree with Dr Mounts, their latest snippet is that we could see 1000 per day being admitted to hospital with the Omicron variant, unless extra restrictions are put into place........

My bro in law has Covid again.

Hes had 3 jabs.

Had Covid 2 times previously.

He is not a happy bunny.

But, I have a theory that maybe some people are more biologically prone to it, and  super human fuckers like me who have evolved a little further than you normals are completely immune to it.
