Members bolton_blondie
What 8 month old doesn't like being in the car? Lakeland Haven looks nice. Little girl loves Haven and it seems like scutterish than the rest

marple whites
My advice is don’t bother. Far easier with all home comforts. crap car journey, forget things, feeds, sleeps etc at funny times. Too much hassle.

Just a pure rip off greedy country we live in, every meal I had in Portugal last week was so affordable and supping Super bock beer to wash it down was a treat. I thought Portugal had gone a bit pricey last time i went, but not as rippy as Devon obvs. No doubt the British tourism industry will milk this year for all it’s worth, then next year it can get to fuck. stevieb
There's bollocks all you can do to cater specifically for an 8 month old. They're literally just shit factories at that age. Just find a nice hotel for you and the Mrs within an hours drive and take the kid along. Have a chilled weekend. Start worrying about cbeebies land when they're a bit older. All to go on rides similar to what pikeys have in supermarket car parks but rebadged with lego!

Youri McAnespie
Farnworth. I had a dirty weekend at some seedy hotel in Moses Gate when I was about 19... The weekend Chelsea played Middlesbrough in the FA Cup final. When Di Matteo scored first minute. Only problem was the girl had the 'flu so £120 down the swanee and the only filth on offer was loads of her snotrags. There was a decent Italian a block or so down but they were booked up - and I'd mooched down to it alone. Ended up going to Asda and buying a wide variety of ales and getting pissed instead watching the telly whilst the girl slept beside me. It was like a dream come true. Very romantic. Youri McAnespie
Two nights, £60 a night. It was steep thinking back. I'm sure The Moathouse would've been cheaper...
