Couldn't eat anything with bones or skin still on but did a couple of times have some chicken nuggets in a KFC in magaluf about 1986.

Is Wimpy still going?  They used to be nice.

I take it you never go to home games then. There’s a Burger King just across the road from the club car parks.

A few years back, I was on the a Travel Club coach back from West Brom.

I left 20 minutes before the end as we were losing 2 or 3 nil

Went to the Morrisons nearby and bought 2 bottles of red, a cheeseboard, jar of olives a 3 packets of various cured meats.

Sat on the back row like Egon fucking Ronay, 3 of us dining like emporers whilst the peasants tucked into their burgers.

As Esco says, it's all about the clientele you sit with.

The packet of smoked trout was a mistake. I'll admit that.

All about time and place.

Match is a place for pasties, burgers and chips; and it that context on a cold day they are lovely. Not to be knocked.

Sitting on the backseat of a travel coach with some sort of trying faux-decent morrisons picnic hamper marks one out as nouveau riche and someone who certainly thumbs plastic lawn catalogues of a weekend whilst bottling up the sweaty anxeity of a parvenu, hoping they don't fall back into the fast food fandom of those they consider of the lower orders from whence they came.

Cured meats do not maketh the man.
