Was with Eels and Panthers fans yesterday at the Federal Hotel in Fremantle. Thugby League doesn't really do it for me but they had replays of the games on the big screen in the beer garden with the England game and the Australia game being shown.

They were remarkably complimentary about England's victory against Samoa. Seems they really rate Samoa and expected a much closer result.

Once the Aussies came on though it was a case for them of "Who do we beat in the final, England or NZ"? Didn't even bother to check if the groups are arranged to allow for this to happen? They are ultra confident "We've won the last three and there's nothing to stop us winning a fourth here".

FFS, I hope England can win it (and if not then NZ).

They're talking shite, only won the last two 2013 and 2017. NZ won in 2008 and it was on home (Oz) soil too

I watched Jamaica v Ireland last night outside a bar. Only because It was on, I couldn't make head nor tail of it. It looked a good natured affair though, but given the result it would have been hard for anyone to want to fall out.

Cheers pal - must have been the Balter talking. They'd swilled enough of it by the time I got there!

Seeing one of them again tomorrow at Rodneys Bait & Tackle so I'll be putting the record straight. I wouldn't have a fucking clue about that game. Hope England win it of course.

Is anyone going to the game at the Macron this weekend ? What is the crack with car parking ? Got a mate going so said I would ask. Is it just the usual or do you have to book ?

You have to kick a rugby ball over the west stand roof then run through a wall of pies if you want a space.

Whoever was in charge of promoting this World Cup needs sacking.

Fair few agencies, as well as in house. I know McCann Manchester were the creative ad agency and Goodform the data agency.

Smiffs said tickets for tonight sat on half way were £70.

That might be the issue, I know cheaper ones were available last year but that is a crazy price

That must surely be a hospitality job.

There were plenty of adult tickets on sale for £15 tonight.

Prices and promotion are shocking. I’ve not seen much advertised on the TV but that’s because I hardly watch it. I know it’s nowhere near as big as football but we as a country usually show support in big events regardless of what the sport is and especially being the host nation.

I can believe that. It's still far too much but at least it's a fairly high profile match.

But surely not for tonight?

That's mad if so.

I’ve no idea what they are tonight, I think Saturdays price is still to steep for a game that doesn’t have a massive following. Cheapest one being £25 EA1ACAAD-6EEF-4B0C-9244-0856B24CD2F9.thumb.png.e30ae822fcd8a29d1801961ca26c0070.png

I see the Cook Islands beat Wales. Total population of 17000!

Happens in minority sports.

Having said that, always good to see those fuckers lose.
