  1. I know im posting about going away in a mental health thread. But looking forward to it, not been a good 14 months, owd fella was diagnosed with vascular dementia oct 22 and died in hospital last Jan of heart failure. First Xmas without him. I'd already booked for last Xmas before he was diagnosed, my sister forced me to go. He had a meltdown on Xmas day, I had to what's app video him to reassure him. Wouldn't wish it an anyone. Trying to stay positive but know Xmas day is gonna hard, feeling it already, up & down. Just gonna do my best to give wife and lad a good day. Hopefully not over served by 8pm like last year 🤭 Tbf I was on the beach with a 4 pack of Mahon at 10.30 after breakfast. Positive side is in The Embankment on Sat and Boxing Day!
  2. Think we go overboard when we get a defeat ,I wonder if Portsmouth did the same when they got stuffed by Blackpool ? Let’s just get on with it and go on another run ,playing the same way that got us here in the first place .but we’ll always get the odd suprise defeat .

Aye I'm same, not so long back I'd have been thinking fucking brilliant that, proper shows up modern football, European ultras at their best. Now I just think what's the point. Imagine being one of that group, you don't wanna say "no think about it lads this is stupid, let's stay at home" because you might not be allowed in the gang anymore, so you've had to pay to fly to and stay over in Aberdeen a week before Christmas just to stand up a hill in the frigid darkness shouting chants out to no-one. "Hope it was worth it Helmut" Your wife says upon your return, embarrassed for you and by you. Actually, felt like that Tuesday afternoon getting back from Portsmouth 😃

  5. Papers saying Leeds, Middlesbrough, West Brom and temporary Premiership club Burnley (with Traff) are sniffing. We know Preston tried last year. We aren't seeing him back at Bolton in January.

  8. Loads of mental health issues back in the day but it was never spoken about and brushed under the carpet, great that there isn’t the stigma now there was back then. Next time @bolty58 over be worth trying to meet for beer/meal and see if we can get Miami to turn out.
  9. I've got a spare under 18s for ESL if you didn't get sorted.
  10. I've been doing Vit D for about 5 years. Not sure if it helps with depression, I'm still up and down like a brides nighty.
  11. https://news.sky.com/story/piers-morgan-defends-mirror-and-launches-scathing-attack-against-prince-harry-13031082 Morgan's on the ropes there His best retort is to accuse harry of trying to destroy the monarchy I think we all know Harry will never destroy the monarchy But he says it to deflect and get Harry haters and monarchy lovers on his side and try to get them to forget that, once again, a paper under his stewardship, has been found to be hacking phones There's nothing to bring on He owes Harry 140k

  15. Some of the states we got into in those days were scandalous looking back. Wouldnt get into the ground these days.
  16. Allegedly 😂😂 Bloody hell we’ve had some piss ups over the years 🍺🍺🍺🍺
  17. I didnt want to go but tried for somebody and failed But if we need 8, we will usually have 3 or 4 trying for 4 And why the fuck wouldnt you Its luck of the draw and wind dependent
  18. Even by your standards that's pretty fucking lame.
  19. Been on La Zenia beach a few times in the 2000's, got a bit of a rip tide? A few get taken a out in summer. Looking forward to xmas eve afternoon in the old town, mix with the locals and visiting nationals. Been learning the lingo. Band's on, tapas and a few beers. Packs up late afternoon, everyone spends time with family on Xmas eve night. Like you mentioned, Jan 6th is the big one.
  20. Toby Jones is the front runner.
  21. The circumstances they've mentioned in the news are so strange, leaving work early, the cathedral visit, the "yoga pose" someone saw her doing, the belongings including rings and glasses left in the park etc. Perhaps there's things they haven't released yet that will become clearer in time. Yet another desperately sad story and utter turmoil for a family to go through that they'll never recover from.
  22. Benners next week for 10 days, weather looking same as last Xmas, 17 and clear, light cloud, up to now. Hopefully a couple of Mah on the beach again on Xmas day. I hate the over commercialise shite over here, Spain seems to get it just right.
  23. Despatched already good sir! Happy reading.

  30. Shit. Post-holiday blues made worse by tyre kickers asking for quotes for holidays you know they’re not going to book. Back at work three days (14+ hours each day) and needing another break! Bright-side is that my “wing man” is home from Uni tomorrow night for three weeks.
  31. I'm up and down if I'm honest, def better without meds though, got to the worst point 18 months ago but not been anywhere near since. Take care of yourselves everyone, Alf.
  32. It was dire in the second half though. Frustrating thing this season is when we've won we've looked great but, my god, when we lose it isn't tight, it's an absolute shambles. It's a proper mental issue and fair play to him, Evatt's has admitted as much. What he does about it this season, I've no idea, but just hoping we can keep beating the dregs consistently enough to get top 2. One thing's for sure, I wouldn't fancy us in the play offs - every team will play like Barnsley last season and Portsmouth this season, knowing we're likely to crumble. Bristol at home though should be a banker, get going for that top 2 again
