Have a gander at the egg price graph over recent months (years). I saw it the other day, and it is crazy, the prices are going to take some time you would imagine to come back down. Interesting that Anerican companies have been desperately trying to source eggs from all over Europe, but availability is scant. Moreover, America requires eggs to be washed, whereas in Europe we don't, and in some nations it is illegal to do so. Don't know the washing process and substances involved, but they're not suddenly going to get new lines opened.
