Mrs Fogarty has been released from Salford Royal after her stroke/bleed. Progress has gone really well. Neurosurgeons were happy to hand her over to the stroke team for physio so she’s at home now and back to bollocking me.

Just so I can’t be accused of myopic bias in the future when I criticise any atrocities by Israel, Russia, Trump, white people etc etc. can I go on record to say I condemn any and all violence perpetrated by anyone anywhere in the world. Comments on here about Charles' attitude with the kids wouldn't have sat well with Fergal! All round, he speaks well, but I'd expect that anyway. Biggest take away for me was the move away from Evatt's approach; leaving more places available and creating opportunities for youngsters. We often discussed this issue on here, with the common comment the kids were not good enough because Evatt wouldn't select them. Maybe they weren't seen as good enough because they saw very little opportunity and therefore weren't quite maximising their abilities and potential. His earlier comment about finding players with the ability that weren't quite achieving what they should be: that can be applied to those in the youth teams as well as those at other clubs. It may suggest that some of those that have already gone won't be directly replaced, and maybe to bring a given player in will require someone out. Those first team squad numbers will need to be reduced to accommodate the new approach. Interesting times ahead.

I had £10 on him t his first season at city to score 5 hat tricks in prem @ 80/1 and he got 4 before Christmas. My Nana passed peacefully at home this morning exactly two weeks shy of her 103rd birthday. She went out on her own terms, at home with a minimal amount of fuss. She wasn't ill and wasn't in pain, her body finally gave up and now she's at peace. Thank you all for your kind words and support. Chris x
