  1. Will collect mother tomorrow and take her to my brother’s in Bolton for Xmas dinner and enjoy being able to spend yet another Xmas day with her. At 88 I realise there’s not that many left. Mrs will be at her sister’s for Thai and a Sri Lankan curry that I made for them Boxing Day will be absolute hell. My worst day of the year. Every year without fail. Buffet. SiL will turn up at 2, slug a load of wine and scream at top volume. FiL will be loud and belligerent and bore everyone to death about The Massives. Step-daughters will turn up with cuntybollock boyfriends that I absolutely fucking despise and then to put the fucking top hat on it the SiL’s friends will turn up so we’ll have even more screeching pissed bellends pissing me off. Me and the grandkids will disappear and watch TV. None of my family bother turning up any more. I’ll get caned for being a miserable cunt and will loudly agree as per every year
  2. Merry Christmas to all, spend this precious time with your family. You don't have to even like them, but they're what have made to what you are. You'll miss them when they're gone. I know I do.
  3. I reckon long into the future folk will look back on this era and be baffled by two things: 1. the failure to combat climate change 2. Bolton fans ever suggesting a lineup without Sheehan in it.
  4. Christmas Eve walk with my mates and their families, couple of pints after. Christmas Day, me the missus and the nipper. Boxing Day, the match with some of my oldest friends Saturday, time with my Mam and brother Happy as a pig in shit (or blankets) Have a good ‘un you bellends
  5. Well she has made it till Christmas and is seeming to improve. The Vet has been brilliant, well worth the £££ s ! Have a good one everyone.
  6. Black Bull in Edgeworth was a pleasant experience overlooking the reservoir with some nice ale. Hope everyone has a good day with family and friends or solitude.
  7. We will have sports scientists measuring every aspect of players fitness and fatigue. Players can not play so many games over such a short period and be at 100% throughout. Resting players for games is to minimise the chances of injuries which might keep them out longer. It is a run of games where teams with stronger squads should have an advantage. But we need squad players to step up and contribute. I have always liked Morley as a player but his contribution has dropped off. McAtee needs to be the player we have played against. God knows where Big Vic is in terms of fitness. The big question is who leaves and who comes in, players who have not had much game time might be needed over next 6 weeks, so if they go we need players in the manager knows can do a job asap. Which mean someone like Ryan Hardie could be a good fit if changes do happen.
  8. Nope, not looking forward to it at all. Eldest lives in Aus with our grandkids Middle one is having a "first Christmas together" at his girlfriend's Youngest is in Exeter We've to spend Xmas Day with the semi-senile/dementia MiL and the Mormon Brother/Sister in laws. Happy fucking holidays, Chris Rea's having a better one.

  10. We all in the festive spirit? I've really struggled getting anywhere close to it this year. Be right at dinner when I finish work. Off to a Pantomime at the pleasure beach. The joys
  11. Merry Christmas to all on here, from the hard-line Commies to the jackbooted Facsists and the paltry few in the middle.
  12. You never know I might take you up on that offer pal Love Xmas day with my mum but Boxing Day….
  13. Just watching the Carol service on ITV. Beautiful, and makes me want to go to church again 😉 😘 Merry Christmas to one and all, you scallywags
  14. Fair Enough , take ya point .
  15. A mate of mine who supports Chelsea got a dog from the dogs home and called it Dan, as it was a Pet Rescue...
  16. Did a solid 18 years of Christmas Eve piss ups, but I’m glad we realised last year to shift it forward to the Sunday before Christmas instead to avoid the Christmas Day hangover. Finished work at 1, out for a pizza later then back for a Xmas film and the Two Doors Down special. Lad is staying down south with his mum so just the two of us going out for a meal tomorrow afternoon. Usually a curry but they’ve taken liberties with the price (gone up £30 in 6 years!) so gone for a more traditional option at a pub/restaurant in Leigh. Glad we’ve got a home match on Boxing Day, though we’ll still tick the daft travelling box with a 6.30am train from Bolton on the 27th for the Hibs v Hearts game. Enjoy, all!
  17. A roasting August bank holiday. I was one of the 3,746 there that day, take away the Posh fans and its 3.5k of us. It was 2 days after the infamous 4-0 defeat at Scarborough, no wonder we got the lowest league crowd of that season. I love the understated celebrations from JT and Tomo, every goal is greeted like its a cup final winner now.
  18. See you there about 3?

  21. Dogs are great. Cats are overrated and I suspect most folk are disappointed with their purchase once they've splashed the cash and they just amble around, preening themselves. McAtee?
  22. I don’t want to upset our faithful over Christmas. Can you imagine the meltdowns over Christmas dinner if I released the team early 😂 I might leave it till Boxing Day lunch time, or instead of the traditional Christmas games I might have a game of hot and cold on here 😉
  23. He's up to his neck in a sex trafficking scandal and is a convicted sexual offender. No doubt there are loads of others too from all sides of politics, royalty, fame, you name it. Nothing will happen, justice in the US is laughable at the best of times.
  24. Whats the Address asking for a Friend
  25. 1,230 days to go Until Nigel takes over 1,240 days until the UK has no immigrants, the economy is the best on earth and we all play cricket on the village green. 1,230 days to go.
  26. Archer out injured for last 2 tests Pope dropped. So with Wood and Archer both out again, I wonder in Stokes and Brendan can see the flaw in their all out pace attack ?

Paintballing is class, even better if you have a knobber in the group who you can all aim for. Clay pigeon shooting is still going in Worsley I think, that’s decent. Failing that go dogging.
  28. Parky has a got a tremendous CV all things considered. He won't be short of work when Wrexham get bored of him and want a big name.
  29. We had a vote where to have our Christmas do... Transport Cafe won hands down... it was brilliant, fry up, mugs of tea and plate sized apple pies for afters
