This is a far greater slap down for chromate face. Very thought provoking, inspiring, and a touch of dust in the air.4 likes

Any sort of win please lads. Under no circumstances a loss. Ugly 1-0 win with a 97th minute undeserved penalty will do me.4 likes

My nipper is there at the minute. Hope she’s having half the rite of passage I did. I’d gladly pay double for her to experience it. I reckon it’s good for her.3 likes

We play better when the opposition is better. Man for man I’d take many more of our side than theirs. The issue in part and what has got them to the position they’re in is, as a unit they have been better and more consistent. But as I said before, if our lot knit a decent performance together over 80-90 mins and take the inevitable chances we will create then I’ve every confidence. it will be tight, there’ll be periods where we’re under it a little bit but it’s time for each one of them to stand up and show us and everyone else why the expectation is promotion. SS knows how to talk the games up when they matter and get a response from the players. So they will be chomping at the bit to prove a point3 likes

In the absolute best case scenario for us, on Saturday Lincoln will have 61 points from 31 games. They'll still be three points ahead with the chance to make it six if they win their game in hand. It's massive game on Saturday, but I think it's weird to pretend that it's a referendum on whether they are any good. They obviously are. And if we spank them 5-0 it'll still be a significant challenge for us to go beyond them.3 likes

It’s no longer a left v right issue, or Trump v Clinton issue or whatever this. It’s just a lack of decency and morals all round. The protection of people over the welfare and justice for the victims has made me feel a bit depressed There are families who have been broken by these monsters and it seems like they’ll never ever get justice because so many people want the truth surpressed3 likes

The fact that Epstein was convicted for being a paedophile, surely shows that it's possibly not as simple as a load of brasses just being flown to an Island to be fucked by all and sundry. I hate to break it to you, but a person can be trafficked as a sex worker, even if they are an adult........you're assuming they all went willingly and got paid for their time, some possibly did, some possibly didn't. Those who did go willingly, could also have been forced into sex against their will (which is what some of these women are saying), even if they'd travelled to the island willingly (and been paid for being there) - I suppose you think that's OK though, because they're over 18. They were probably "asking for it" by wearing short skirts as well2 likes

Speaks well McAtee and good to hear. If anything I think he’s guilty of trying too hard. weird one because as fans we’ve probably all said at some point “as long as the players work hard and put a shift in…” you can’t say he never does that yet still gets criticised. so what we’re really saying is ‘we want players to work hard, put a shift in and show quality’ he definitely has something but he is absolutely a confidence player. Needed a run of games to build that confidence and to feel it from Schuey and the goal last week will have done him the world of good glad he didn’t leave but he needs to continue playing the way he has recently because anything below that and we’re carrying him. Rodrigues in the wings too could put him out the picture again2 likes

Folk defending groomers of young vunerable women (or rather girls) Some people are beyond rational thought when it comes to Trump and his ilk.2 likes

Totally agree, University places should streamed towards the most capable. I think it was Blair who stated every child should have the opportunity of a Degree which led to a proliferation of pointless niche degrees such as Surfing Science, Brewing and Distilling, DJing and Electronic Music and so on. All of these should be vocational studies and if so, would save on large student loan accounts.2 likes

Everyone just thinks AI is videos or pictures because that what the public see. It is now embedded in every major business across the world, because it saves a lot of money on the likes of project managers for example. Everyone apart from Quakers is going to see an impact from AI1 like

Maybe, But atm kids are being priced out of the traditional uni route, and becoming an apprentice and getting the uni fees paid is a better option for them. 10k a year fees is just daft1 like

My daughter has just been there for her honeymoon and is now in the Maldives as part of a two centre holiday. I’ll pick her brain for you when she’s back.1 like

I was going to suggest this as it seemed most of our hotel even 25+ years ago was doing the same. Traf will sort you out I am sure. Glad to hear it's not just me with a fucking pain in the arse missus when it comes to holidays 🤣1 like

As Winchester white say columbo down to Galle, the new (prob about 12 year old now) road is a god send. Some Cracking beaches around Galle and the fresh seafood is amazing. Plenty of day trips to do from there as well1 like

Went for our honeymoon over 25 years ago so it will have changed! 😁 But I can say it is somewhere we will definitely return to one day. Most of the tourist hotels are on the west coast from Columbo down to Galle, with better roads they aren't the long drive they used to be. Trips out to Kandy and the elephant orphanage are definitely recommended.1 like

Having tested @Traf’s patience re our trip to Croatia this year with her ever-changing mind, the decision-maker emailed him about Miami/Bahamas next Jan, but she’s now decided that Sri Lanka is where she wants to go ffs So….any recommendations for Sri Lanka?1 like

Like I mentioned earlier. I think these kind of qualities (ie being able to think in abstracts) are going to be more inherently important and/or highly valued than a high IQ. Not that they're mutually exclusive of course.1 like

Schuey said in his interview Tutu had got a bang on the knee rather than any muscle / ligament damage so more of a sore one. But had trained the last couple of days. a toss up for me between him & Christie. They both bring different attributes but think tutu shows were not gonna go there and try and defend our way through the game. More attacking intent1 like

So to be clear, when the FBI and DOJ had years of access to the files they never once thought about mentioning Trump either to the public or the dems, they just hushed it up, and then when The Don got in each time he just made sure they carried on with this same routine?1 like

possibly the same reason as little progress is being made by Trump, they're protecting people, be that either because they want to, or they're being instructed to do so.1 like

That’s not what I said, but you know that. “By the current admin” the first redactions on the files was under Obama, redactions carried on over the years under Biden and Trump. The people doing the redactions are the DOJ and FBI, not politicians. Funny how all of a sudden it’s Trump doing them1 like

Considering there are potentially thousands of rapists involved and many, many more victims, there is a strange imbalance on outrage. There are undoubtedly very similar issues with regards to the legal processes, with high ranking people seemingly putting up barriers. I suspect Trump has some level of involvement, though that doesn't necessarily mean having it away with kids. I don't see anything getting sorted under his watch neither. I don't see our inquiry being sorted under Starmer's leadership neither.1 like

What I don’t get is why people seem more concerned about what happened on an island 1000s of miles away 20 years ago over what happened over here in terraced houses approx 10 miles from where they live. Doesn’t make any sense does it 🤷🏻♂️1 like

Well seeing as they have been asking for justice for many years some can't see how it can make things worse. Some of those stood up in the Judiciary Committee and Pam Bondi just smirked. I will be very surprised if there are any arrests never mind trials at this rate.1 like

You don't know that, by definition of a redaction! We can all surmise and may well be correct, but it is also perfectly possible that some victims didn't want to be named. It is important to remember that these files aren't a collection of papers from Epstein himself, but a much wider range of reports and accusations. Many from some who claim to be victims. These people could be very scared of having their identities revealed- for obvious reasons. Under those circumstances, it is perfectly possible that names of victims are hidden.1 like

They really are excellent. Andrews would get coach of the year for me. Everybody (me included) expected that Brentford would go backwards when he took over.1 like

Some got named by accident apparently with the redacting pen not doing it's job quite as well for victims for some weird reason. But what about those people who have given up their anonymity? Are there any ongoing investigations for them?1 like

The whole under 7 year looks like it's going to be bypassed near us as clubs all opt to play up a year in under 8s (my club included). It's far more important at this age to learn about teamwork, listening skills etc. at that age for the vast majority who won't end up in academies. My club has decided they'd rather increase participation and have the normal group of 9-10 kids playing a year up rather than limit it to 4-5 and see kids fall away from football. Going to be chaos1 like
