There's not a chance in hell you've watched a single second of this football match tonight.

Chance for a few partnerships to gel. Would not swop any squad in the play-offs for ours. Seen enough of the new players to think we will finish strong this season. Apter i will call now who will do well for us. ACD coming back fresh in April will also be a boost. Rodriquez, Apter, Kenny and Taylor-Blackett are not match fit yet and all look good signings.

Another half to play yet lads.

I think for me personally I'm just looking at us consolidating play off now and 3rd place if we can. Anything else would be a bonus, still lots of football to be played however. We're all dreading the thought of play offs, but I'm more confident under Schuey and this team, who's to say we can't win it 3rd time lucky. Lincoln & Reading Away back to back is tough and we haven't lost. Not good enough for top 2 but let's try and get some wins now starting with the Donkeys on Saturday. Gonna try and keep as positive as I can. No point being all doom and gloom to be honest as frustrating as it is.

Top 4 in the form table are Lincoln, Cardiff, us and Reading. We've just played 2 of them away and not lost. After our massive post Christmas slump, we've turned things around nicely. Probably too far gone for top 2, but we could be building nicely to piss through the play-offs.

We've improved from the Evatt era in so much that we're now very difficult to beat and not a soft touch away from home, but our finishing has let us down again. We have to put games to bed like Cardiff & Lincoln seem to do. That said, the playoff teams don't scare me and I think we win them if we have to. We're on our way...

The issue with the play offs is that to win them, you have to play 2 games away from your own ground. Which is a massive issue for us

Reading might be the most pathetic set of cunts we've come across this season. On the verge of the playoffs and spent all second half in the low block with no intention of scoring. Fucking 10k on. What a bunch of Wigan like cunts.

Wouldn't want to watch that every week.

The first thing that needs to happen is somebody needs to find Sheehan because I've not seen in him this half.

If we score first, neither get mentioned.

  18. Who else do you expect to be working on a feed of Bolton vs Mansfield on a Tuesday night, watched by 10k people? I accept people are paying a lot for Sky generally, but there's no way it'd be viable to staff a full EFL programme with seasoned pros every week. Back when we were in the Premier League, the only option of watching us was to run the malware gauntlet to find a dodgy, buffering stream on Al Jazeera #57. We literally don't know how good we've got it.

And no second guessing if a goal is going to stand. Just euphoria in that moment, exactly how it should be!

    2 of whom lost tonight.

They aren't showing any signs of having a bad run.

Who knows what game it would have been had Kenny scored but it's same old story almost every other game, new signings still missing and having to scrape points at the end against inferior sides, a point keeps us unbeaten but look how comfortable those top 2 seems to make things, yet every game we have is a close game.

Doesn't really matter where in the Top 6 we finish, as long as we do and we finish the season in good form. I have every faith that we will finish strong, we're now playing some very very good stuff, just need to convert the pressure. That's easier to do that not creating anything at all.

Lots of things not right tonight…. But tbf we don’t deserve to be losing this game. They’ve offered nothing.

3rd in the league but not very good. Drama queens out in force again, absolutely delighted it hasn't gone our way so they can have a moan.

We’re just not very good are we and that’s it in a nutshell.

Exactly the opposite for me. He has an eye for goal for a start. He also provides a bit of bite and defensive ability that allows for full backs going forward. He also takes a better corner than the others.

I wasnt blaming Conway, just saying there isn't enough footage to blame Jono.

    I'm confident it'll finish 1-1

Beforehand, I said it would be a bit of a risk. Conway likes to push on, and Cissoko isn't the best defensively. Doesn't sit well with me though, that the full backs get so much shit, when it is clear that they are expected to get forward. Moreover, with only 2 in midfield, the defensive cover is limited. It is clear for me that SS has decided to go all out- some of that tightening up we've seen previously has been released in pursuit of goals and the win. A risk, and one that should be paying off- chances just not converted. 2, or 3-1 up, and no one gives a toss about the defending. There is still time to put it right though.

We need to ship Johnston off in the summer regardless of what happens, been a good servant but 80% of the goals we conceded are down to him. Both the Lincoln goal and today he just stands off, allows them to shoot, always has a mistake in him. But our main problem is goals. I said earlier we have only scored more than 1 goal just once this season away from home. Well we gotta do it today.

It's a gamble for sure, both are wing backs, neither that capable when asked to be proper defenders. Conway in particular seems to have forgotten he's in a 4 and spent too much time too high up, huge area for Marriott to loiter around in

To go up automatically you have got to put your chances away you can't afford to keep missing them that's why we are 3rd we are creating them but not being clinical

Can’t blame the keeper for that surely?! Was past him before he could react. Good finish.

That is how you finish. No pissing about just steady yourself and bam, cracking goal.

Young kid in a foreign country. Needs no shrink but some players need a arm around them others need a bollocking.

One thing I hate these days is when journalists just turn a load of tweets into some sort of news story or opinion piece Some fans think the fa cup draw was rigged, presumably because it didn't favour their team https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/38243460/fa-cup-draw-arsenal-mansfield-newcastle

1000+ for this one on a Tuesday night is a decent effort.

I think SS deserves another chance, but the pressure's on if he doesn't get 6 points this week

Blaggers very rarely reach the pinnacle once. Never mind twice. I certainly didn’t 😀
  45. I can see why folk would want alleged perpetrators to be named. Nevertheless, until any claims are investigated and charges made, then anonymity is fair. Similar here. It may seem unfair, but the greater unfairness would be an action prevented on technicalities. Biggest crime is failure to properly investigate at all.
  46. Pity the bloke didn't simply post a message on X. He'd have got 31 months.
  47. Mild harassment, but harassment never the less. Thought Matt Lucas handled it really well. I agree though shouldn’t happen. Tip of the iceberg. There are some horrendous verbal/physical attacks by Palestinians and/or Palestinian supporters committed on Jews the world over. Do you two guys share similar opinions though when the boot’s on the other foot? Would you condemn the abuse and violence we’re seeing in the West Bank committed by Israelis against Palestinians trying to live a simple life. Surely this takes us all to common ground. Condemn the notrights on both sides. Support the innocents on both sides. Seek a solution to bring peace. (Thought not…..)

Give me this and that Sheff United match last week over Prem games any day of the week. Fast attacks, big powerful forwards and shit loads of a proper tackling. It's ace.
  49. As an ex Live Sports Producer and Director, it's very frustrating watching the live TV coverage of Bolton games and this season my wife has learned a few new swear words. I directed all the home games at the Reebok when we were in the Premier League with six cameras. These were for live coverage around the world and UK match of the day highlights in the UK. Watching the matches this season is like watching a media student with a new toy, using cameras and replays just because they are available. Showing countess shots of managers, crowd, pigeons etc when the commentators are describing someone running down the wing is a true sign of an untrained director or a person who doesn't understand the game. Maybe used to working on a slower sport or none at all. Having worked at six World Cups as Senior Broadcast where the Director has over 30 cameras to choose from, I dread to think what they would do then. Sometimes less is best. Use the bench shots sparingly on game delays, substitutions, cards being issued etc but not during a free flowing action. Don't start me on the ads. One last thing. At the end of the match, endless pointless stats and full match replays should come after players walking off the field, other results then most importantly the updated League Table as everyone wants to know where that leaves us in the league positions. Sitting through all the other garbage first is tedious. Apart from a few sensible adjustments needed, it's still great to watch us every week.
