  1. Population size of course. That’s a real measure of a football team. The rest is window dressing.

  2. Ban personal donations to MPs and we're even better off. In fact ban any political donations personal, party etc. It breeds corruption. The South Australian Premier is looking to implement.

  3. Absolutely fucking pointless. I don't give the slightest fuck.

  4. Bob on - they've got the 2 Nottingham, Mansfield and Burton within a 20 mile radius. No comparison. We don't make enough of Kenny Davenport's opening goal - the first goal in league football anywhere in the world. Scored in Bolton, for Bolton, by a Boltonian. Nobody can ever beat that record!

  5. The clue was " two OAPs" I've got nowt but time on my hands. No, that's not true, since I retired I've never had a minute, the wife makes sure of that. I'm a grumpy stubborn bastard though.

  7. Love it. Same bloke was showing me vids of Alice Coopers guitar lass. He said she's really fit but any 15 year old lad could play her shit and it's all for dramatics. He's the Joey Barton of mad pub cleaners with an autistic liking of guitar noncery.

  12. I once (being a bit sad and liking messing about with stats) calculated every teams average league position from 1888 onwards. Up to 1960 we had the 4th best average league position (not including Accrington, who had a handful of seasons in the top flight, dropped out and went pop). Plus 4 cup wins and 7 finals - undoubtedly at that stage we were one of the elite. Shows what scrapping the maximum wage did for clubs like us (I blame Tommy and his "brother Matthews" speech).

  13. Very odd timings, I don't want to be in Derby at 11, & though i wouldn't mind coming back on it, i don't leave early & i don't run (& i like to call in the chippy facing the station !! ), so 5-25 would be cutting it fine. More likely to get the service train back at about 5-45.

  14. The timing of the early one is mad. You’d think the point of a special would be to keep people out of Derby until the last minute! We’re only just arriving in to Crewe when the special arrives in Derby 😂

  16. And I said I’d follow up about our record here. It’s surely our time, this time? Just like we said twice this season against Blackpool… 😂

  17. Completely agree, can't argue with the facts. Derby do average more supporters but they're a city in the middle of virtually nowhere and we're a town in the north west surrounded by some of the world's biggest football clubs, and yet still average 21,000. We've spent more seasons in the top flight than them, we've spent more years in the Premier League, we have won more major trophies and also been in Europe much more recently. I'd personally say us Pompey and Derby are by far the biggest and most successful clubs in the league. You could give us an edge on the purposes of being a much longer top flight team. Ironically us and Derby were the first ever league game in English football, where former Wanderer Kenny Davenport scored the first ever goal in the League system. Hoping for a better result than that day however as we lost 6-3!

  23. Not sure Derby are much better at turning up for big games. We start on front foot and land the first blow I reckon its our day. Theyll shit their pants and the natives will be hysterical.

  24. Us win and Posh and pompey draw is the ideal scenario yes that would keep posh in the mix but I’d still much rather have 5 going at 2 spots than 4 going for 1 and Pompey be away in the distance whether we finish as 1st or 2nd I couldn’t really care as long as we’re in those spots

  27. No idea but a 27 second clip posted from that particular account won't be giving the full story in my opinion. You are of course allowed your opinion in thinking it is before you bombard me with 347 questions trying to back me in to a corner for us to then go round in circles for 3 hours straight as you continually ask me for evidence that the 27 second clip is actually the full story. I have no idea. I just don't think it is. If you do crack on. I'm really not bothered. Sorted.

  31. Play our game, don't give anything stupid away and control possession. Their fans will start getting on their backs when they can't get a kick of the ball. As for the big game feel, it's certainly our biggest league game in some years. But most of these lads did it at Wembley in front of 80,000 last year. Keep the faith and believe. COYWM.

  32. We've had plenty tbf. It was rocking this season after we scored against Blackpool. But all time? You're not beating Forest for sheer pandemonium. Burnden was soulless like anywhere else at times with 8k on v Leyton Orient or summet.
