My cousin has two and they hate the water so if she somehow fell in a river I would be surprised if they went in after her. I expect they would bark like fuck though and stay by the riverside. Quote

If it was my red lab hed have been in before me Just been out with him not far from the estuary. A helicopter and 2 big drones still above even at this time. Still cant get my head around it. Lass is only 5ft 3. An attacker could have her off across the woods in no time. Quote
L/H White Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 the search expert seems convinced she isn't in the river Quote

Don't know the area, but doesn't look like you can drown in there. Dunno though, could be totally wrong. Gonzo said she wasnt in the river a week ago due to the lack of water Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 My brothers spaniel and its siblings would jump into a cup of tea they love water that much, sure a lot of em come from lines that are bred to go into water. Quote

Used to have a Jack Russell and a Whippet Jack Russell would have been straight in there The whippet would avoid a puddle Quote

Quite easy to lie at the bottom of one of these areas. Quote

The head of the river wyre trust said last Friday he just couldnt see how shed not been found if shed gone in there. Hes the same fella we deal with further down stream as part of the Thornton Flood action group. He spends his whole life studying that river and its dykes/tributaries/flood plains. He works with the council here to stop us getting flooded again etc. Obviously it's just one fellas opinion but hes pretty ITK. It goes completely against the grain of what the police think has happened. All very strange isnt it. Quote

Spider Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 She’s not in the river. based on what Gonzo said about how shallow it was last week it never sounded right. Its either an alien abduction or she’s been dragged away and won’t ever be found. Quote

River comes from The Forest of Bowland, it was clear and no wind all that week. Obviously in the area she was and of course further towards the estuary near me its tide affected rather just a flowing river in one direction. Water levels rise against the natural flow one way then go back the other. There was a dead sheep in there behind the cartford inn last year. It kept going then coming back as the tide varied. Quote
Zico Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 given all focus has been on the river if she's not there, then is that it in terms of searching for her and it being on tv? I mean, I'm sure the police will continue the investigations, but she'll become "just" another missing person and we won't hear about her again unless, dead or alive, she turns up Quote
