yeovil did alright not too long ago, now in the national league south

Aye, didn't they beat Brentford in the playoffs about 10 years ago to get to Championship? Compare them now - one has a new ground and reasonable Prem security, looked at as a great model - other is a basket case as you say.

Apart from Oldham who were usually a decent 2nd tier club and had a couple of years in the sunshine at the top level , do we miss any of the others mentioned?

There are always going to be flash in the pan teams like Bournemouth & Brentford are now, and what Swansea were like 10-12 years ago, Oxford in mid 80s but its all still the usual suspects year in year out.

In the next 10 years a biggish club is really gonna hit skid row, who will it be?

I reckon Sunderland.

I'd say so...

When we first hit the 4th division, and came up in that game against Wrexham, weren't Wolves and Sheff Utd also promoted with us? - bonkers to imagine Bolton, Wolves and Sheff Utd all in the bottom tier.....I think Burnley might even have been down there as well at the time

Well, theyre my bet

Sheff Weds I reckon is a good bet, as their new Chairman/Owner is a bit of a cock. Also as mentioned above, I fancy Sunderland to hit the skids financially at some point

Wolves, Bolton and Burnley were Scarborough's first three home games in the football league.

Not sure their bobbies knew what was coming, nor recovered fully!

Southport used to play Friday nights and me and Loft used to go sometimes. Their beef tea was Cerebos gravy.Cartoonist Bill Tidy came out on night at the same time as us and he nearly bowled Loft over.

Them and us appeared in the same football league record in the 70s. But who else did ?

This has been mentioned recently but i couldn't remember the reason, So, why did Biry used to ko at 3:15 for home games???

Wasn't it because pubs closed at 3?

Hereford and Bradford PA deserve a mention.

Bury were allowed 3.15KOs for their social club that closed at 3pm. Torquay used to KO on Saturday nights at the start and end of the season.
