Wanderlust
Third Lanark in Scotland went out of business in the 60s but still appeared on pub football cards until the 90s so my mate in Embra would always put his quid on them. Never won.

Compare them now - one has a new ground and reasonable Prem security, looked at as a great model - other is a basket case as you say. Whitestar
Apart from Oldham who were usually a decent 2nd tier club and had a couple of years in the sunshine at the top level , do we miss any of the others mentioned? There are always going to be flash in the pan teams like Bournemouth & Brentford are now, and what Swansea were like 10-12 years ago, Oxford in mid 80s but its all still the usual suspects year in year out. In the next 10 years a biggish club is really gonna hit skid row, who will it be? I reckon Sunderland.

Duck Egg
Hereford and Bradford PA deserve a mention. Bury were allowed 3.15KOs for their social club that closed at 3pm. Torquay used to KO on Saturday nights at the start and end of the season.
