Any way, it's all supposition

Correct. Theories everywhere

but I think the notion others have mentioned above about the club stating what the salary is and if someone doesn’t like it tough, works in the real world but in the football world, players and managers dictate. If the wanting club doesn’t wanna pay it, others will

relatively speaking, if IE was on 500k then we shoudl be expecting to pay more for a manager with a L1 promotion and Championship side on his CV

(and if that's the case, Wagner and O'Neill would want even more money, so can't see them getting it)

suspected that the delay might be on personal terms, but I reckon SS would want the job and FV want him in, so negotiate away, but also hurry up

based on the last 12 months performances, if Evatt was on half a mil a year that’s more of a robbery than Ken pocketing the Madine money 🤣

I think that's often the case at the top levels of many industries.

Supply/demand still works, but the very elite level works in the employee's favour.

Does that particularly work for SS- to an extent, maybe, but he's not seemingly massively in demand at the higher levels.

As above, we don't really know the score, but if the rumours are true, then eventually fans will start to question the appointment.

Their source is that Football League World article posted earlier, which didn't reference a source, and they seem to base their articles on Social Media posts.

I think it's more the random claiming we're rival of Charlton Athletic, Leyton Orient, and Birmingham City

It's pretty obvious they mean 'promotion rivals'.

It does sound like its stalled over salary, O’Neil was favourite on Friday and I’d imagine he would have been asking for more money than shoemaker. If the rumours are true then it sounds like we could be moving down the list of candidates. Still expect it to be sorted.

Expert accountants,  expert managers,  and now expert football management contract negotiators.

This site really is an intellectual bunch.

Ffs give it a rest,  none of us know nowt about what's going on.

Doesn’t mean we can’t discuss it and have an option, just chill out.

His team certainly grafted for him last night.

And lost 3-1 to a team with an Under-18's manager. I love Nolan, but let him earn his stripes before he comes here.
