Rather stick pins in my eyes than watch this shite comp.

I'll stick pins in my eyes then end up watching it anyway because there's nothing else on tv that night

Oldham will bring a good few for this - and they'll be hoping for entertainment off the field as well as on it.

Surely no one is having a fight over this?

If it’s used properly to give our fringe and some of the youth an outing it can be a useful competition.

Think the rules block you doing that. I’m sure you have to play x amount from a league game and if not you get fined

Saying that though other clubs seem to know how to get knocked out though. Not sure I’d ever want us to be like that.

Though when we lose in it i can move on incredibly quick.

They'll be more likely to be with their buddies is Edinburgh a few weeks before :)

Isn't there a bit of a Bolton-Oldham alliance these days??

Their top old boy has been spotted hob nobbing with old BWFC faces and there is mutual respect i believe.

Last few years the rules were that you had to play 4 players who had either played the last league game or played the next, or had 40+ career league appearances. It was Evatt's choice to go strong in this competition.

We could have played 7 youth players, Arfield and 3 first teamers. I never understood Evatt going strong in this and then being confused when injuries started stacking up.

Didn’t realise it had lightened up so much. Shows what a Wally he was I suppose
