Wtached Letters from Baghdad last night on reconmendation from my father-in-law. Its on Amazon Prime. I knew nothing about Gertrude Bell, who she was and her role in the formation of what became Iraq. If anyone is interested in the Middle East, Britain's historical role and the seeds of the modern day oil concerns - or indeed Lawerence of Arabia - its certainly worth a watch.

Like Mrs Manc (2nd generation pikey) said it’s a lovely film about how thick the culshies are. What the FECK is the point in a FILUM that propagates stereotypes without meaning?

Hopefully someone will tell me what the point of the film is. I genuinely would like to know. Colin Farrell played a great part. I got that. I’d seen his interviews about it so was looking forward to it
