Seen a fair few films- saw "four Christmases" last night; considering the cast, it was turd.

Also saw "A dog's journey". A family type film, with a serious theme. Light humour in places, but the dogs kept bastard dying. 😥

Sam Mendes' 1917. Watched it last night. Enjoyed it a lot. Very tense in places. Sort of an English Saving Private Ryan.

A very respectable 7.5/10 from this jury.

The Stranger on Netflix (film not series) was ok, good actor is Sean Harris.

Got distracted early on and confused which character was doing something so was waiting for a twist that never came. Think it might have made me enjoy the film more and the ending less than someone who was actually paying attention.

It's still ok though 

Much better than Predator 2 and Alien Vs Predator

Just watched Top Gun Maverick. What a pile of homoerotic bollox! The film is more 80s than the original.

The series Black Butterflies on Netflix is shaping up 3 episodes in. Serial killers, shagging and a twisty plot. Just remember to switch subtitles off and set audio for English at the top of the screen unless your French is fluent.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Yes, I know I've probably missed out on some great films but I don't have the time and patience to read my films. If it's any good I'll wait until an English language version comes out.

Honestly, after you've watched a couple that way you don't even realise you're reading.

Switching to dubbed English takes too much away from the acting.

Watched a good documentary on Amazon Prime last night - Wildcat.

Story about a troubled lad that saved an Ocelot - a cat similar to a small leopard - although it could be stated that the animal saved the man.....

I've tried it. Just like when I'm driving on the other side of the road when overseas. It's just something I'm not comfortable with.
