Recent Filums I've Watched

The Stranger on Netflix (film not series) was ok, good actor is Sean Harris.

Got distracted early on and confused which character was doing something so was waiting for a twist that never came. Think it might have made me enjoy the film more and the ending less than someone who was actually paying attention.

Did Prey earlier

A predator spin off

It's basically Predator set in native America

It pans out exactly as you would expect

It's still ok though

Much better than Predator 2 and Alien Vs Predator

7/10

Aye, good filum.

I'd give it 7.5

The series Black Butterflies on Netflix is shaping up 3 episodes in. Serial killers, shagging and a twisty plot. Just remember to switch subtitles off and set audio for English at the top of the screen unless your French is fluent.

Only kids and simple folk switch to dubbed English.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Yes, I know I've probably missed out on some great films but I don't have the time and patience to read my films. If it's any good I'll wait until an English language version comes out.

*For the record I don't watch dubbed films either.

How does it take more time to read subtitles if you're already watching the film? Do you have to pause it to read them or something?

Honestly, after you've watched a couple that way you don't even realise you're reading.

Switching to dubbed English takes too much away from the acting.

Watched a good documentary on Amazon Prime last night - Wildcat.

Story about a troubled lad that saved an Ocelot - a cat similar to a small leopard - although it could be stated that the animal saved the man.....

I've tried it. Just like when I'm driving on the other side of the road when overseas. It's just something I'm not comfortable with.

Just watched Top Gun Maverick. What a pile of homoerotic bollox! The film is more 80s than the original.

I think you must have watched a dodgy copy. Top Bum, probably.

I thought the most 80’s part was when he had to buy beers for leaving his mobile phone on the bar.
