knight is not everyones fave player, but i think he'd our best this season. and i dont think he has cost us more than one goals.

cant remember who keeps giving all the pens away

anyway, we have been conceding goals with him in there.

ream's come in and looked FAR worse imo, still condeding goals and he looks at fault for a few.

matt mills is a basic player, but seem big and strong which is fair enough, dont think he's cost us any goals.

im a believe in footballer and clogger pairing. but our footballer (ream) looks awful

im suprised ricketts hasnt really has a shot in the middle yet.

whats the best partnership then?

Ream might be rusty to be fair, he's been in and out of the side which could be why he has looked off the pace plus OC's ridiculous lack of coaching. I thought he looked ok so I would persist with him and Mills but I have little faith in any of our centre backs to be honest but feel a pairing of Ream and Ricketts may get a little bullied in this league.

Ream makes me nervous

he has no composure and constantly chests the ball when other options, i.e. feet, or head, would seem more appropriate

No composure? I think that and his distribution is excellent, just his lack of physicality lets him down.

Knight and mills

Once we start tearing teams apart the opposition will rivert to set pieces and long ball and them 2 are best equipped to deal with that.

Be tempted to give one of them captaincy when Davies isn't playing to give em the confidence to organise and make sure whoever is fullback knows what he is doing. Happy if that player is mills.

Oh yes. Was it those 2 or was Colin Hendry one of the pairing when we got 7 clean sheets in a row?

Not sure.

Weren't both Newsome and Warhurst on loan to us at the time (before we signed Warhurst permanently)?

Hendry, in that promotion season, was simply magnificent. A proper warrior and leader for us on the pitch. What I'd give for a Colin Hendry now.

Ream & Mills for me - just but I wouldn't be too bothered if Ricketts played instead of Ream or Knight instead of Mills. We need at least 1 big bloke in there so Ricketts and Ream wouldn't work for me.

That said, If Wheater was fit, he'd get in as number 1 choice so take your pick who plays along side him - and he's no super star either but the best of a bad bunch

If we want to start passing the ball from the back, which we have done recently, then ream has to start. He's got the most footballing ability and he's also the quickest.

I still maintain Mills is shit. He's slow and his distribution is poor. He is average in the air. Knight has played well this season so him or ricketts to partner Ream for me.

Depends on Dougie's football philosophy really.

I'm positive if Ream gets a run in the team he'll prove himself as our best centre back.

I honestly fail to see what Mills has to his game what so ever.

He's 6ft odd and gets beat in the air 8 times out of 10.

He's pain fully slow.

And christ almighty, his distribution, does he know that the ball is allowed to hit the floor. Hoofs it more than AOB used to.

Never seen a centre half defending facing his own goal either.

Couldn't get in a shit Leicester side, suddenly seems to be our number one choice.

Another Coyle howler in the transfer market for me.

Yeah from Brum and Palace I think. IIRC we wanted to sign them both but could only afford one of them.

seeing we're on a jewish theme,we've got a schindler's list of midfielders but a right shower of defenders. so we need to watertight as fuck, and we'll need to play tim ream alongside the star of david wheater once fit

As for zat knight.....he brew up
