jayjayoghani Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 How do people afford to drinks 15+ pints every day? Or hold down a job that pays enough for the £16k of disposable income per annum to do that? What's your cost breakdown on that? I assume these people are not going on sessions in the Northern Quarter Say £2/pint ->£30/day ->only £11k a year! reckon I might just be able to manage that.... magic legs Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 What's your cost breakdown on that? £3 a pint, based on 2 pints at lunch at £6.50 total Your bargain basement price is no doubt based on your predilection for £2 pints of Carling in the Balmoral. Quote

magic legs Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Saw a guy sat outside Spoons in Leeds 9am last week with a 3L bottle of cider he was decanting into a half pint glass. No one had thought it was worth telling him to move on. Quote
birch-chorley Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Go to any last orders, SAMs etc and they get the stuff that's about to go rank on the cheap £2 a pint is feasible there Quote
no balls Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Where can you get a pint for £2? There's a bit of a price war going on in HTown. There's most pubs offering a £2 a pint lager Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 £2 a pint is considered extortionate in Leyth. £1.49 for a pint of various cask ales in the George & Dragon, and that's actually a really nice pint/pub. £1.85 for a single Bell's and coke in Spoons as well. Won't even dare to think how cheap it is in the Ale House. We should really get "1980's price vacuum and spiritual home of the pisscan" under the Welcome to Leigh signs. Quote
Zico Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) The bridge were doing a pint for £1.80 last time I were in and back in the day it were always the most expensive place to drink Was driving through London tte other day, admittedly kilburn so full of pikeys, but there were pubs on the main road there doing all day pints for 1.99! They were shitholes mind but still in busy parts of London I never thought I'd see that Edited June 10, 2013 by ZicoKelly Quote
