Winchester White Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Am I the only one on here that thinks Horwich is a bit of a backwards shithole? Fuck yeah, Blackrod's where its at! Quote
tomski Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Know plenty who have moved to horwich, all perfectly fine. It's the born and raised who seem a bit odd Quote

little whitt Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Although seat wise Ukip won fuck all, people need to realise this isn't a few pissed up lads from the footy 4million votes is a good number need a vary good leader now and some decent candidates and keep themselves in the news other wise no one will remember them in 4 years time Quote
stevieb Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 I think resigning as leader immediately after defeat is weak. Unless your position becomes untenable with the party then why resign? Clegg, yes deffo, Miliband probably should have gone but Farage is baffling. Other than the fact he lost his stab at a seat he's in a stronger position than yesterday. Around 4m folk voted for them for fucks sake, changing leader straight after defeat just loses some of that momentum. Quote

jules_darby Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 That's sounds a bit like finishing third in the championship, ending up in the play offs and losing to the team in seventh Then complaining the system isn't fair It wouldn't be fair, as if you finished in 3rd and you got in the play offs rather than automatic, the lowest placed team tou could lose to would be 6th Or were you saying that and I've just had a wooosh moment? The bloke is a narcissist; it's my bet he wants them all to clamour for his return and he will act coy about it. Quote

To be fair to the guy he is very ill. 4 years ago he was recovering from a air crash and suffers from chronic pain. He is an easy target to ridicule but many a commentator reckon he is the best statesman of the lot of the current leaders and if he had been at the front of labour they would not have been in the mess they are in now. ps he said he would resign and did! only1swanny Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 resign, incase that's what people want.. run again... get selected to run the party.. no insider politics.. UKIP need to keep the momentum going, as stated 4m people back them.. cant all be "orrid racists" Quote

Farage had said during the campaign that he would resign as leader if he wasn't elected. He gets brownie points for being as good as his word but I wouldn't be surprised if he puts himself forward for leader again when it comes to the contest. Quote
Spider Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I like Farage even though his party has a whiff of nonsense about it. How he survived that plane crash God only knows, it doesn't seem possible. He's done a brilliant job no matter what your opinion of him. However, the next PM will be Boris, and I'm not quite sure what to make of that. Quote

Haha I doubt it but as much as he's a bit of a crackpot the city like him and if we fare well economically in the next five years he will be in pole position IMO Cameron has already suggested he won't be standing again for PM Won't be Johnson that much I'm sure of Quote
