BOWTUN BAKED Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Although seat wise Ukip won fuck all, people need to realise this isn't a few pissed up lads from the footy 4million votes is a good number We've had this conversation before, so I'll reiterate my point..... People won't see whilst their minds are blind. Debating the point on an internet football forum with the diverse opinions & experiences is pointless, the written word is the worst form of communication. Next time I see you remind me to tell you the tale I heard from a Pakistani born British person I heard last week, I was close to tears hearing him talk & anyone that knows me knows I'm no wilting violet. It's a tale I'd love to share on here, but it's too long & the emotion is lost in the written context. I'd be labelled racist for retelling it , even though it's his words, by small minded people whose only recant is the race card, I've seen & heard a lot in my lifetime, I experience the worst our society can bring on a daily basis..... But this confirmed the worst of my fears. From the horses mouth. Those of you that worry about crime, corruption, child grooming & the likes . You've seen nothing yet. I'm not talking about individuals, I'm talking about cultures & the more you tolerate it the worse it will become for your children, your children's children & beyond. Reet, enough of that, who's round is it? Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Boris is just fodder for the tabloids. Unfortunately so. I had, surprisingly, the pleasure to meet & converse with Boris, long before the Boris you seem to know today. Contrary to his tabloid portrayed Mr Bean-esque bumbling toffy Bullingdon Club Tory type you'd expect, he's a very intelligent & shrewd person. Ask yourself a question! How did he become the Mayor of a fairly left London if he was such a fool? The answer isn't Rocket Surgery! Unfortunately, under today's X-factor style politics, he wouldn't win over a nation, which speaks a lot about our modern society. Quote

He plays the cock though, which is even more worrying Quote
Smiffs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Funny how the SNP say this is a vote for independence Rather than the Independence vote they lost. Big E hasn't called them racist though Quote
no balls Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) And to think people actually listened to this snake oil merchant. “The only conclusion I can draw from this is…a lot of people want the Conservatives in power, because they voted for them”. He's a clever lad is Russell. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/russell-brand-on-the-general-election-and-backing-ed-miliband-im-just-a-comedian-10236096.html Edited May 9, 2015 by no balls Quote
Ani Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Oh and another thing, people calling for a change to the system after the election please fuck off unless you said the same beforehand. Quote
Ani Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 To be fair to the guy he is very ill. 4 years ago he was recovering from a air crash and suffers from chronic pain. He is an easy target to ridicule but many a commentator reckon he is the best statesman of the lot of the current leaders and if he had been at the front of labour they would not have been in the mess they are in now. ps he said he would resign and did! If he is not healthy enough to run an election campaign hard to see him being healthy enough to run the country is nt it ? Quote
no balls Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Oh and another thing, people calling for a change to the system after the election please fuck off unless you said the same beforehand. I keep seeing in social media from the left leaning that the electorate are "idiots". It's a well used word currently. Well, that's nice isn't it. I presume they'll not be idiots if they vote a different way though. Quote
Guest Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Oh and another thing, people calling for a change to the system after the election please fuck off unless you said the same beforehand. This. Lots of people dead against PR in the past when it helped the green and Lib Dem cause suddenly really in favour of it. Quote

Cameron is a smug cunt, but sadly as the results show the only option (unless you were Scottish) Quote
birch-chorley Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'm sorry but something isn't right with the system if a 20 year old student is getting in We should have the best minds, people managers, project managers, strategists & visionaries in the house running the country. The fact this kid is in who plans to not take her seat in the first year so she can finish uni (also at the tax payers expense) is a joke The problem with politics is the politicians. I would rather see the elite minds from all other areas of society bring their experience & skill into the house and make the country a better place. No doubt about it we need to get a silk purse from a sows ear over the next decade or so, doing so requires the best out there. We must pay our leaders much more to attract the best in!! Quote
Carlos Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 The Scotch would have voted for Ian Brady (he's one of their own) if he'd stood to the SNP. Blame the SNP for putting her up rather than the system. The 20 year old talks exactly like Spud from Trainspotting, like say. Quote
Smiffs Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Rab c nesbit would have got in if he's stood for snp Quote
Sweep Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 We must pay our leaders much more to attract the best in!! Correct, I've said this for a long time. You get paid fuck all to be an MP, you can earn at least double doing a job in the private sector if you're any good. I've thought for a long time we would be better with fewer MPs, but with better qualified/experienced ones......which would obviously cost more. I doubt the situation will ever change though The fact a 20yr old student has become an MP is bonkers, but as is often said about Labour in the North.......the SNP could have put a yellow rosette on a pig and the Scotchers would have voted for it this time Quote
freds dad Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I wouldn't say £67k a year is fuck all. Dont forget to add the wifes salary as secretary, "expenses", morgage payments plus additional payments for sitting on commitees of which you have no interest. Oh and don't forget the decent holidays. Quote
Carlos Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Fuck all in London. Anyone with any responsibility, let alone running the country, will be on 100k+. Quote
no balls Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'm not sure about salary comparison as it's never like for like, though if we are playing that game, I know headmasters who earn more and NHS staff who earn well over double. Up the revolution, brothers. Quote
tomski Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'd be happy to pull 67k+ and expenses in. As I have said before, there are many potential side earners for when they finish. I think climbing up the political ladder is more about power than money. Quote
stevieb Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 So this 20 year old, is she now on 67 grand a year? Heroin dealers dream target! Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I've not even seen this scots girl so I'm not sticking up for her per se, but, isn't the 'lad' who ousted Hilling twenty seven? What vast experiences has he packed in those seven years to make him any different? If you're deemed old enough to leave your life or health on the roadside of some foreign shithole defending democracy then you're old enough to participate in it...There's kids out there seen or done more than many twice their age, they should be taken on merit, and yes, I am a hypocrite (read Whelan's grandson and Guy Harkin's lad).
