Farrelli Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Kyle Lafferty wants to leave Norwich and play some football ready for the Euros, why not have a go for him. I appreciate we will be bottom of his list but not many prem teams will guarantee him the regular game time he needs. Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Wonder how much ALF wanted ? That's what pains me, we've tossed off another season now the monies available for similar amount we could of signed ALF, will any decent striker want to sign now we're in a relegation battle? And if we can't attract one we quite easily could be staring relegation in the face. It really is madness. Edited October 12, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Ratwhite Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Ten games in. 36 to go. Wouldn't say that from what Ive seen this season, we will be in a "relegation battle" Quote

Wouldn't say that from what Ive seen this season, we will be in a "relegation battle" We're not playing bad, but not scoring enough goals and finding ways of losing games from winning positions leads to a relegation battle and were bottom 3 despite not playing badly, were right in the mix. ex_midlandwhite Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Paying £18k pw for 6 months is about the same as paying £9k pw for a full season in total terms. Glad to see that as time goes on the total amount being given to Lennon isn't being reduced. Quote

Unfortunately i have to agree. Unless we improve our away form, it can only take a bit of a slump at home and we will be right in the shitter. Quote

Biggish Dave Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I'd imagine with ALF, it was more of a case of how much Cardiff were prepared to sponsor his wage etc. It would appear on the face of it, the dogs are paying pretty much all his wage, a loan fee and an agreed purchase price at the end. Money we could only dream about. If ALF was out of contract, I reckon he would have come for less money than he's currently getting Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) mounts won't like somebody presenting facts against his emotional rants No problem with that, but it's Eddie Davies shooting himself in the foot, with what his in my eyes his ill thought out thought process, if I was in his shoes with his money I'd be taking small calculated risks to protect the assets and possibly reap some reward, isn't that what business men do? Anyhow he's in danger of flushing it all down the pan if we slip another level.Any how it seems he's now come round to thinking it might be an idea to do just that and try to sign someone who can put the ball in the net, however the length of time it's took has basically tossed off this season and put our championship status on the line. We've given ourselves a mountain to climb, firstly to persuade a decent one to come and once he's joined playing catch up. Quote
