Mounts Kipper Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Madine has scored as many goals as Le Fondre so far this season. And he's cheaper and doesn't fall over like a tart I was not having a pop at Madine as I like him but what happens if he gets injured? Which is likely with the workload he is being asked to do and also lets re-visit these stats come may 2016 shall we? Edited October 12, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Horwich Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 One striker isnt gonna turn us into world beaters. We are miles away from being a decent team and that will show over a full season. Quote

Horwich Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 It might... But not many of our team would get into a top 6 side Quote

Horwich Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 That's what pains me, we've tossed off another season now the monies available for similar amount we could of signed ALF My point was one player on our radar is not gonna make a difference. Alf or a.n.other striker would mean another season of failure. Season was tossed off along time before we didnt sign a striker Quote

Season was tossed off along time before we didnt sign a striker I don't actually agree with you, a good striker would make a big difference and could be the catalyst to fire us towards the top 6 a little bit similar to what Ings did at Burnley, even if that didn't transpire it's better than the alternative just bumbling along with no goal scorer and risk further decline and possible relegation. BOWTUN BAKED Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 How many away games did we win with ALF in the side? He wouldn't have been the messiah, taking us to the promise land, he would have been a very expensive striker that could of easily been injured early doors & left us skinter & in the same position as now! If's, buts, apple's, nuts. Quote

That's why funds are coming about now. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 ALF scored 8 from 17 for us his record his also very good, I'd have taken my chance on him. Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Take our chances finishing fourth bottom with the squad we have and pocket the half million towards the debt Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) Take our chances finishing fourth bottom with the squad we have and pocket the half million towards the debt Is that tongue in cheek, 1/2 million towards the debt, why? It's never getting paid back, go down and it's another 2-3 million wiped off our income. Edited October 12, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Horwich Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 No parachute next year. We need to be takenover or we really are in the shit Quote

It certainly was, but £18k per week till the end of the season saved goes towards making the books look a little bit healthier for future buyers! Quote
