tshape
Good day out in Bolton and Chorley, drab game. Not sure what the 'Gartside out' chants were about, and after a 'chat' with one of said chanters nor do they it would seem. Yeah that was a strange one. Waiting until the 93rd minute to start that shit.

Mounts Kipper
Most of that is your critique of him and the only thing that says he thinks he's too good for it is "you've heard he has a chip on his shoulder" You're mixing things Mounts FWIW I've heard he's shy and it can be construed as arrogance, however he had a decent attitude But you, like I, have only heard things. Nothing he has done on the pitch suggests that he thinks he's too good; he's just not got in regularly like you say. Having said that it wasn't long ago that Liverpool were sniffing around him I think you need to give him a break. If you don't rate him then fine, but until he acts the cunt don't assume he is one Didn't someone say even his dad say he's got a chip on the shoulder? I'm not on his back just don't think he's anything other than average, hope he blossoms I really do, as there is potential within the lad, wrong attitude (if true won't help him get there) Edited November 1, 2015 by Mounts Kipper

Blondi
We got to Preston at around 2.45, just when a big mob of young Bolton fans arrived surrounded by God knows how much Plod. We just wanted a half decent place to get pissed, we were about a hundred yards behind the Bolton escort and they got escorted to the left of Fishergate?? We ended up in a nice classy bar/restaurant called the Forum, cracking little upmarket place, nice atmosphere and we had plenty of spirits, ale & a couple of cocktails in there. Back to Warrington Bank Quay for around 9.30 and a curry in the Cottage in Warrington. Decent day out, apart from it was practically impossible to get a drink at the ground, over keen Plod all around the place and probably the worst game of football I've ever seen! no balls
We arrived at Preston station approx 5.40 to be greeted by coppers smiling at us probably thinking, look at these silly old cunts. One of our lot mentioned we were hoping to get a police escort to the ground to which the pleasant officer said they would've done had the windows not been put through on their vehicle Anyhow, black cabs waiting outside, get to the ground stealth style for 5.56pm. That's how you do logistics, folks. All I remember of the game was 2 terrible teams, beer kiosks not serving till half time, wankers, and a right good singalong under the stands. I feel sorry for anyone who went sober. Edited November 1, 2015 by no balls
Site Supporter MickyD Posted November 1, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted November 1, 2015 Good day out in Bolton and Chorley, drab game. Not sure what the 'Gartside out' chants were about, and after a 'chat' with one of said chanters nor do they it would seem. Our junior supporters will chant whatever the older boys are chanting. Some old heads started the Gartside chant and it spread.
jules_darby
I'd say that in our predicament a chant for the chairman to fuck off is pretty acceptable FFS
gonzo
I'd say that in our predicament a chant for the chairman to fuck off is pretty acceptable FFS That's the loudest I've ever heard it. Can't say I blame em,although it should be directed at the owner not the chairman IMO. What's happened to us this season is no different to Blackpool last season. We are going down. Site Supporter MickyD Posted November 1, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted November 1, 2015 Is the bloke holding the purse strings on behalf of the bloke who's supposed to fill the purse to blame? In much the same way that Lennon can't manage with no money isn't it also fair to say that Gartside would also find his job quite difficult too? snowball
I'd say that in our predicament a chant for the chairman to fuck off is pretty acceptable FFS Spot on Jules but old Teflon Gartside is untouchable. Not responsible in anyway for hiring managers that made sense at the time- fucking bollocks.just how did Megson/Lee/Freedman make any sense to anybody at the time apart from 'those who understand football' obviously. Had this argument before and am sick of it but just look where we are, Gartside & Davies are killing the club at moment. Didn't join in the chants btw but better than having a go at manager. jules_darby
I'm not saying absolutely everything is PG's fault but he has chaired us from the Prem to the bottom of the Championship and we are fucked Irrespective of what he did before that and total fault he shouldn't be immune from criticism and as the man running the organisation he should be certainly in the supporters' firing line Some folk would back him if he chaired us to extinction Blind as fuck

waffer cup 07
Of course Gartside must take some of the blame but it annoys me when ED who has always claimed to be a supporter can see HIS team in steady decline and just walk away when a relatively small extra investment would see us at least stabilize . If he goes we will get another. I'm no Gartside fan, but I can't see why people believe things will suddenly improve as soon as he goes anywhere. Our problems currently lie with the owner and his financing policy and once the ownership changes, there is every chance Gartside will go anyway. snowball
What's the current status with Eddie? Is he compos mentis or are the rumours of him being unable to make business decisions true and is our fate really in the hands of his family/shareholders who don't give a monkeys about the club? Would help to know but our Chairman who wasn't backward at coming forward when things were going well is suddenly media shy and won't say a word. Is there really a credible take over offer out there, what was that trip to Thailand all about? Club is treating the supporters like mushrooms so its no wonder rumours get out of hand

The spare cash isnt going to buy us a striker regardless.
