Spider Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 It would appear that Ian Brown still sounds like a goose farting in fog Can't wait Quote

barryk32 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Just back, bang average. Ian Brown couldnt hold a tune if you gave it him in a bucket. Oh and I tested the water with the touts and said I'll give you a tenner if you have any spares, they all bit my hand off. Quote
Ghana White Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It's a strange one. I loved it but I can acknowledge that brown struggled on most of the stuff off the first album and that the first 20 seconds of she bangs the drums were a mess. Quote
Smiley Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It's a strange one. I loved it but I can acknowledge that brown struggled on most of the stuff off the first album and that the first 20 seconds of she bangs the drums were a mess. Like I said, last week in Carlisle - I totally lost track of where some songs were up to. Think Reni was slotting in too many ad-hoc bits, Brown seemed to either sing the wrong words or came in late and I was - WTF. Still enjoyed it, but had a thought in my mind at the time that the Clone Roses and Total Stone Roses are probably better and tighter than the actual band!!! Quote
Ghana White Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Yeah I said that last night to Lenny with a y that if you want note perfect it's best to watch a tribute band. Quote
Carlos Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I've had a listen, Clone Roses sound fuck all like the Roses. Quote
kent_white Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Has anybody ever really been to a Roses gig expecting Ian Brown to be pitch perfect? Quote
L/H White Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Glad I didn't bother Happy to leave it at Heaton Park Quote
