Well there's plenty there decades out of touch, but I'm not sure about a few hundred years

Beheading folk for not being a Muslim?

Sounds like the Spanish Inquisition to me . . . how long ago was that?

What was the point of the crusades?  etc

What I want to know is why other white welsh folk didn't grass him up

He was an Englishman resident in Wales.

He was thrown out of his local for being drunk and issuing verbal threats against Muslims (not that any were there). Thrown out but not reported to police for his comments under the Prevent scheme.

A neighbour found him asleep in his hire van, and reported it to police, but they deemed he that as he was not in the driving seat he posed no danger, plus they couldn't be bothered.

I thought if you were pissed in a vehicle

With the keys you got taken in for drunk in charge of a vehicle? Or have I imagined that?

I know that Mrs Sweeps cousin was asleep, pissed up in his car on a Tesco car park, and he was let off. He was advised that he could have been charged with some drink driving type related charge, if they had wanted to.

My mate got found asleep in his car pissed and was charged

Admittedly he was in the driving seat in the middle

Of a roundabout rammed into a tree with a bottle of whisky in between his legs

Once heard that a large number of camels are in Australia: perhaps its already started. :)

This is true. It is why the Ghan train from Adelaide to Darwin is so called after the Afghan guided camel trains which used to transport goods between the two.

Some escaped/were set free and they are thriving in the dryer parts of the outback. Was once startled at a mine site called West Angelas when a dozen or so came charging through some bushes narrowly missing my 4WD.
